Lakers Thought They Had Him- The Lakers genuinely thought they had a deal for Jason Kidd last night. Word was Jerry Buss agreed to send $3 million in cash and two future number one draft choices, including this year?s pick. At the end of the day it was not enough for New Jersey ? who was steadfast that a Kidd deal had to involve Andrew Bynum. The Lakers are expected to add Scottie Pippen in the coming days and will be watching the waiver wires. </div>

Hoopsworld was accurate last night on the Kidd info, because last night it was pretty much a done deal, so I'll give them some credibility here.

    Unfortunately, I do too.

But I do think that Scottie can ignite a fire in Lamar and teach him the triangle and how to play the point forward.

Well he's an upgrade over Shammond and/or McKie.

I'm hoping we add Danny Fortson after Seattle waives him, too. He's the enforcer this team needs on the court.

Dude, I'll take Pippen over Smush any year, decade, lifetime. Unfortunately, we won't sign him. Guaranteed.

^Because you know so much, right? You know what goes on behind the scenes...

I'd love to add Fortson to the team, that way when Raja Bell decides to go WWE on Kobe, Fortson can go UFC on him.

I heard Dennis Rodman is trying to make an NBA comeback. Why don't we sign him while we're at it? Release McKie/Williams, sign Pippen/Rodman [IMG]

Then you can lure Michael Jordan back from retirement and pick up Steve Kerr after he quits his job as an analyst.

Given our recent luck or aquiring new players, Scottie Pippen will go elsewhere

    Wrong, Brian.

We're awesome at acquiring senior citizens! Aaron McKie, Brian Grant, Jimmy Jackson.

Forget all of them....lets just get the guy who helped us get the First Chapionship in the threepeat:
    Ron Harper!!!!!

No I don't but I'm being realistic. All we do is wishful thinking. We are not going to sign Pippen for the simple fact that "WE ARE NOT CONTENDERS" Pippen said it himself "I want to play for a contender, who will allow me to play 15 minutes as point forward."

I love how these players demand guaranteed playing time when they aren't even in the league.
