Is anyone going to University next academic year or been or want to go to University next year? I am planning to go to Queen Mary University in London to study Computer Science if I get the grades. I got an offer from Brunel where Michael Olowakandi went as well but I don't plan to go there
Firstly I hope get into the University Of Florida in 2008. My second choice is probably Florida State University, and then University of Central Florida. I'm at small college right now, OWC.
I'll be going to University starting in September. I applied to a few schools for both journalism and business, and so far have been accepted to the University of Waterloo for their Honors Arts and Business program. Not so sure I'd want to go there though.
I'm probably going to work for a year, and in the meantime try to find a university or college that has an education I actually want. I don't think I've seen one good one this far. I don't know about you guys, but I can't see myself sitting behind a desk like some drone for the rest of my life...

Also, it's co-op so I won't have any summer breaks for 4 years. But then again, co-op sounds awesome...
I plan on going to the University of Iowa next spring hopefully. If not, than fall of 2008 at the latest.
In 2008 I plan on going to a UC, not sure which one yet but right now I'd realistically get into Santa Cruz, Davis, Santa Barbara, or Irvine. I'll also apply to some CSU's and other schools, probably a few private schools (USF, Saint Mary's).
Community college for me. Chattanooga State Community College that is. After this semester and another year there, it's off to the University of Tennessee. Yay!
How much does it cost for you guys to go to Uni in America? It's around ?3000 per year here in the UK for tuition fees then you have to pay for accomadation which varies.

I've already got an offer from them, I'm just waiting on LSE, although I think I might still choose UCL>LSE purely for the social scene. UCL and LSE are very similar and I'd be happy if I get the grades and go to either one of them.
<div class="quote_poster">Brian Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">What does it take to get into a UC? Good grades?</div> Yeah, you'd need around a 3.5 to get into a UC plus pretty good SAT/ACT scores but also they look a lot at extracurricular activities and what other things you do. As with many colleges it would probably help if you're a minority (note that Asians are probably majority in many UC's so that won't help much as compared to if you're black or hispanic). Thats for the low-mid level UC's, if you want to go to Cal or UCLA you'll need a 4.0 or better and UC Irvine and San Diego are really tough too.

I know it's a huge school, but it seems like I know everyone there. Just about everyone from around this area went onto there, especially with the lottery scholarship and all. My brother's going to try to transfer in there as well from Southwest Tennessee Community College. Great school... Good luck w/that man, maybe I'll see you down at Knoxville at a party some day and be like "hey, I'm voodoo child!" and you'll act all aloof like you don't know me, ah anyway... I've got too many posts around this forum on this subject to really get the energy up to type another reply on it. I just wanted to reply to Sasha.

Lot's of stuff is, so you don't mind the worlds highest taxes.
I've already been accepted to the local community college where i'll be majoring in Sports Management.
It's amazing how much emphasis they put on going to College over there, you would expect every single person in America has a career, lol.
I've been out of high school for 2 years and I haven't started college yet. Hopefully i'll have financial aid and all that set up for Fall. I was shooting for Spring but **** didn't go through.

UTK throws the **** down, I've had my share as well. They have a great art school, and an even better party atmosphere as are the couple of reasons I'm going. You going to Bonnaroo BTW?!
