"Raja gets about three calls at 7:30 this morning," Suns coach Mike D'Antoni said. "We're not trading Raja. That's nuts. That's crazy." David Griffin, the team's vice president of basketball operations, said he spoke to several teams from across the league, but in the end it just didn't "make sense to break up this team."</div> Source
This reminded me of the Suns calling Isiah Thomas a liar, when he told reporters the Suns were going to draft Renaldo Balkman.
Yea, I bet D'Antoni wanted to calm his players and not get them thinking they are being traded to a team trading away their main pieces to rebuild.
Okay, trading Raja for Kidd is crazy, what do you need Kidd for with Nash on the team, especially with all the other big contracts they already have, and Kidd is not near the three point shooter, or as good a man to man defender as Raja is, so it definately is CRAZY!

Ofcourse D'Antoni would say this now, after the trade deadline is over. He doesn't want to shake the players, especiallly Raja's confidence right now. Having trade rumors over players team shake their perception of how much the organization trusts them.
