Phil Jackson said now that the young players (Sasha and Farmar) got their chance to play in the beginning to mid season, it's time for Shammond and McKie to get the majority of the minutes for the rest of the season and the playoffs. And judging by how they played tonight, I think everyone was impressive by those two. If we're going to add Scottie to this team (per rumor), who are we going to let go? I'd have to think if it's not those two, it would have to be Radman because of his injury that puts him out for 8 weeks and the fact that he lied will not go well with the coaches and management. Thoughts?
I doubt we release Radman if we can't get his contract void. I think management is having these two play more minutes to see who deserves them and who should be cut. Honestly, I think McKie can go. I love Shammond's game offensively and I wish he would've gotten more minutes earlier. I'd take his offense over Smush's any day.

Hmm, now that's smart. Put a flame under their young butts. I've always liked the signing of Shammond, like Stu mentioned last night "It's been a while so everyone has forgotten what Shammond could do." or something like that. He's like Smush except smart with his abilities and hustles more. I actually like the idea of putting Shammond and McKie out on the floor because they're veterans, veteran leadership to lead the already enough young guys we have on the floor. It obviously helped last night.
Shammond Williams is a baller. Granted it was only against the Celtics, he really impressed me last night. Aaron McKie actually looked pretty decent out there last night as well. Surprise surprise

Kinda miss the dude in Philly.

If we do indeed sign Scottie Pippen, I see McKie being the odd man out. I kind of wish at times we would transplant McKie's brain into Smush Parker's head

Smush had some really nice games but he also had terrible games. I think that he's kind of inconsistent. Give the older guys a chance, if they fail, it's pretty obvious that Farmar and Smush will get their regular minutes back.
I missed the game because I didnt want to commit suicide if they lost to the Celtics, but from the Post Game show it seemed that they played well. Although it was only the Celtics (worst team in the NBA). I do hope they Shammond more because from the highlights he was decent. McKie is old and wont be able to play against the Parkers or the Terry's specilly in the playoffs.

Perhaps throught his carreer. Phil has no other option to start playing him because any one is better in defense than Smush.

In his limited minutes against the Celtics, McKie was actually able to stay in front of the point guard (for some reason), something Smush Parker never seems to be able to do even though he is a lot quicker than McKie
The coaching staff is probably evaluating these two before making a decision on Scottie Pippen. So far both players have made solid contributions and have stepped up when PJax has called on them. Shamu has a great shot from the outside, and McKie is still a heady defender. What's nice about McKie is his size, because you can switch on defense and not get stuck with a mismatch. Which reminds me, what's the status with Laron Profit these days? I know he was playing for the Grizzlies, but they ended up waiving him. I'm not sure if he's fully healed, but he was the perfect backup for Kobe when the Lakers had him.

Of all teams, you get waived by them.
