...I guess no one wants to bring up how we lost to the Hawks last night? I didn't catch the game or follow the box score, but from what I saw after coming home, only McGrady really scored while everyone on the Hawks contributed points wise.
Well, McGrady, Juwan, and Rafer played pretty well offensively. That's the only positive thing you can say about this game. When they went with a big guard lineup (Josh Childress as PG), we couldn't handle them defensively or on the boards. Well, we couldn't handle the defensively at any point, actually. Battier played poorly and was simply lit up by a very talented Joe Johnson -- that was unexpected. Bonzi and Luther didn't show up. Juwan was helpless trying to cover Josh Smith. Chuck fouled like crazy and didn't do much of anything else on defense.
We can beat Heat and we can't beat Hawks? That's the worst problem Rockets have always had. We always had a good chance of beating good teams, and we always, well mostly, lose to sorry lottery teams. Remember last year or two years ago, we lost to Bobcats twice. Pitiful. We have to learn to give sorry teams like Hawks an asskicking.
^At least that hasn't been the case this season. We're showing some consistency in where we stand, and right now without Yao we're looking pretty good.
