<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">OAKLAND ? Vladimir Radmanovic hasn't yet formally apologized to teammates, but they're aware of his admission of guilt. "They're calling him 'Slalom Vlade,' " Lakers Coach Phil Jackson said. The Lakers haven't decided whether they will fine him for lost time since his confession that a separated right shoulder was caused by a snowboarding spill, not a fall on a slippery sheet of street ice in Park City, Utah, his initial explanation. He is banned from snowboarding in his contract and will miss seven more weeks. "There's a few things to clear up," Jackson said. "I think that we'll come to terms with that this next week, and then we're moving forward." Radmanovic was bothered by a sprained ligament in his right hand earlier in the season, but it is feeling good enough that he will not get surgery on it while he sits out to rest his shoulder.</div> Source Classic Slalom Vlade buahahaha
Of course, he won't get surgery. God damnit!!!! Get the damn surgery Vlade! I want you 100% healthy next year, so you can contribute what we expected of you. Slalom Vlade, that's classic.

He's already played most of the season and we'll likely need him come playoff time. While he's not super-effective right now, he still has his nights where he's on. Beyond that, any extra depth come playoff time is good to have. I'm not worried about him being 100% by next year, because I would assume he'll get the surgery very soon once the playoffs are over for the Lakers, and then he'll have about 3-4 months to rehab it, which will be plenty of time for him.

Right now Radman doesn't make a significant impact on the team, so having him available or not the rest of the season won't dictate the success of the Lakers. He's going to miss two months at least with the shoulder injury, I'd rather him spend those two months recovering from two surgeries instead of one. Then coming back late in the season, and then having surgery again in the summer. It doesn't make sense for him to delay it any further.
I say cut him and save the huge amount of money we gave this loser. This is a huge opportunity for the Lakers to end his contract. Since he broke the rules of his contract Lakers should be able to cut him loose with no problems. Saved money we can use for someone better next year!

I guess, for me, it's kind of like a crapshoot. I wouldn't mind him getting the surgery, yet, if he does, we do lose more depth at the big man position, something we're already thin at as it is. However, him being 100% come the summer time would be a great thing.
