No way of knowing how serious it is yet, but Reggie Miller could be a candidate for the Mavericks' vacant roster spot.

Owner Mark Cuban brought up Miller's name before Monday's game against the Hawks. The former Indiana Pacers star is the No. 1 3-point shooter in NBA history. He retired after the 2004-05 season, but remains in excellent physical shape.

With the log-jam at the swing position, I don't think the mavs will be signing Reggie Miller. The only needs right now are a decent backup PG and a center who can give 6 fouls come playoff time guarding Amare or Duncan.

That really just wouldn't feel right. Miller already said that he wasn't going to be like Jordan in that there wasn't going to be any comeback, and given how he spent his whole career with Indiana, I'd prefer not to see it happen, even though he is my favorite guard of all time.

I wouldn't want to see Reggie sign with the Mavs. That is just to much disrespect to the Pacers.

It'd only look right if Miller was in a Pacer's jersey...however, I wouldn't mind seeing Reggie shoot again.
