I am sure y'all have read about what digit(s) Reggie Bush will don. He has petitioned the league to wear #5.

Edgerrin James' request to wear this same number when he came in the league was denied.

If a RB wants to wear 62 or a LB 19 then I say why not?

    Thoughts?

I can see why they wouldnt
It would make refs job even harder.

It would make those tackle eligible plays a real beast.

i would agree with NFL to deny it. i say positions need their own numbers.

1-49 should be eligable for skill players in my opinion. I guess CHarles Woodson is trying to get the league to pass the rule. he wants to wear #2 in green Bay.

Does the NCAA have ANY restrictions on numbers? Or can anyone essentially wear any number at any position?

i dont need the point of positions having their own numbers unless its just to make the refs job easier and if that is it then i say restrict it

If they do grant Woodson to wear #2 and he does revitalize his career that's a potential jersey.

Imagine how tweaked Deion Sanders would be if that happens? LOL.

It might even prompt another comeback.
