Game Thread. I would yell "toro!" but it's not that funny because our perimter guys really HAVE been playing defense like matadors -- waving a flag and then getting the F out of the way. Watch for Luol Deng to drop about 40pts tonight.

Fine start for tanking. Keep it up, and we may actually end up getting Oden...

Never fear Nellie knows how to tank. In 1992, he lead the Warriors to a 55 - 27 record and finished 2nd in the Pacific. The following year, the Warriors finished 34-48 and finished 6th in the Pacific. The Warriors ended up with the 3rd pick overall!

I would love to have the 3rd overall pick this year!

Well, maybe Nelson's half time speech was "Hey guys. We aren't showing the spirit of taking. Let's go out and show how it should be done"...

It was a nice prediction, however...predicting the Warriors will play like crap on the road isn't really going too far out on a limb either. 6-23 now, seriously threatening Memphis for the worst road record in the NBA.

Wow... some nerve to be still pushing the playoffs in people's faces. They should have the "Super Secaucus package to land Greg Oden in the lottery" package like Kwan suggested a while back. It's a Great Time Out! Not!

Oh well, did anyone see anything positive about the game regarding players actually getting the idea of teamwork or defense?

This was going to happen anyway, might as well have tanked earlier and beat out Memphis right now. If we kept Montgomery we'd be saving 10 mil or whatever it was and we would probably do a lot worse at a faster rate. C'mon Oden!

Yeah... this team is poop. It's sad because they try hard, too. JRich has a lot of heart. And I LOVE watching Monta and Beans. It's really sad for those two -- I hope Beans doesn't get his spirits down, man he deserves to play for a winner IMO. I hope all this losing doesn't taint their confidence -- crap, I wonder if Monta ever even lost TWO games in his whole highschool career...

But everything else is poop. Baron went down, once again, and who knows if /when he'll be back... JRich comes back just when it doesn't matter anymore... I mean sheesh... it's hard to watch right now.

Azibuike started tonight, though, which was nice to see. He played very well.

That's about the most exciting thing I can come up with, lol... a new guy named Azibuike played well in another GS loss... sigh

Yeah, how did Azubuike perform? He seems like a competent and solid complement to the other key players.

wow and i thouht you guys would have been talking about our twin towers in the 4th q..

Biedrins and POB sharing the paint. It finally happened. POB even shot a JAbaresque sky hook, well it didnt go in.... but maybe we need to hire KArrem away from the LAkes and the bynum situation.... is that the move? 2 games in a row that AB looks off

Az maybe the only positive this game.

Supposedly JAx will be back ...toe and all...because apparently he was playing on the fracture for awhile.... go figure.... and BArnes will be back..... whooop de doo.... detroit and the wiz are worried now.

On the bright side... there is always tomorrow...and what a day..... closing escrow on my new house and hitting the links to celebrate..... Whoo Hoo

Ah man I hope Nelly doesn't stop trying that. I would love to have Biedrins at the PF spot and POB playing C. Of course results might not be that great initially, but it definitely would allow us to win on some strength matchups (in theory). We figure POB likes to take some midrange shots, we could use him as sort of a power forward while Biedrins looks to cut inside and post up against 6'9 power forwards.

Congrats on the new house! I guess everything worked out after all!

Not really an exciting game, but it was nice to see our young core step up and see Griffin score 17 points in 16 minutes. Hopefully better days are ahead for your Warriors.

That's true, but for me personally I've always had the mindset that certain teams should be season contenders each season, of course though that just can't be. Sort of the kid inside me, you know? For instance the Bulls, Blazers, Suns, Warriors, Jazz, Knicks and Pacers. When one of these teams fall out I kinda lose my mindset, I'm just used to them all being contenders. The Warriors and Blazers have been on the worst of skids though so I hope that both can turn it around by next season or so. Though I won't hold my breath for the Blazers.

Enough with the BS though, this Warriors team seems really promising though a few players definitely haven't fit in. Who do you personally think the Warriors should let go or deal away to another team during the off-season? (if any at all) I'd like to know from your perspective. What's your opinion of Baron Davis? Do you think the Warriors need him now that Ellis has shown wonderkid potential or are the skeptics a bit full of themselves? Al Harrington hasn't been welcomed as much as Stephen Jackson from what I've seen so far.

How about Pietrus? Do you want him around next season? I've been really hopeful for Pietrus to succeed since he made his way to the league, but mostly because my fianc?e and I knew him from her college so I'm a bit biased on that.

Finally, what is your take on the Bulls squad? Deng going to be the next big thing, just a regular superstar, or neither?

Cus .... thank you ...much appreciated .... yes things are seeming to work out well.

Just wish i could say it for the dub's

POB/AB.... did what you would expect.... kept the paint in check.... when they were in the right places as POB looked nervous .... but we seemed to control the boards better.... and both guys with long arms if they didnt get it themselves, kept balls alive...

the only shots i saw POB take that i rememeber....was a weak baseline drive, the sky hook and an air ball from about the free throw line.... his shot reminds me a bit of gasol .... a sort of shot put style.... but with better form.

I, like most it seems would like to see both AB/POB and AB/JP on the floor together at various times...

I guess now that nelson has declared the warriors out of the playoffs perhaps he will experiment more with this combinations....

I think i would like to see baron stay out the rest of the year.... jason's hand start bother him so he can relax.... play all the young guys especially az.... and just enough of barnes to keep the losing streak going.... hopefully play jax and harrington a ton to get their numbers inflated and values as high as possible.... and give POB his run ...6 fouls all the way.... get powell big minutes

adn then next season.... dont we have 2 second round picks?..... i think we should draft..... brandon heath..... sdsu..... he is a combo guard with a lot of simliraties to Ellis.... a little bigger and not as much hops.... but a floor leader, with great shooting range, clutch player, extremely consisten, finishes strong ..... is quick and keeps his man in front of him.... he really is a mix of van exel (those tear drop shots in the lane and the mid range game) and ellis....

Oddly enough he might be a flashier AZ..... which might look redundant.... but Nellie seems to like that .... and Barndon would flourish in a Nellie system.
