My point is whether he was joking or not, he should say sorry. I understand it wasn't meant to be taken seriously, but obviously some were offended by the comments. It's foolish to think he shouldn't have to say sorry because he wasn't serious. Kramer was just joking but does that mean he doesn't have to say sorry to all of the black people who he offended?

I'm not hating on Maxwell - he did the right thing by appologizing. But the bottom line is: a joke or not, it was a sexist remark which offended some, so therefore he should appologize.

Same here, but this is kind of different though.

It was a light hearted joke imo, Kramer is on another level.

you're not really comparing Max's wisecrack to Kramers tirade are you? michael richards seemed like he was being pretty darned serious to me.

Sure, it was nice that Cedric apologized. no ones saying it was "wrong" to apologize. i just dont think an apology was nesecary is all

Maybe him and the ref know each other and she is actually an excellent chef in her spare time? Did that thought ever cross YOUR MIND?? He was simply complimenting a friend on her continental breakfast skills and it was MISINTERPRETED....
