Hey San Antonio Fans, I'm a raptors fan and I have to honestly say that of all your players on the roster, the one player that really knows to get players annoyed is Bruce Bowen. The guys seems to flat out always injure players or annoy players because of his stupid leg sticking out after a jump shot is made. Is this really skill, or does he not know how to play defense properly, yet for some reason the referees never catch this or want to address it.

I feel that players knowing that Bowen is guarding them start altering the way they shoot just because they're afraid Bowen will injure them, as a result make poorer shooting percentages. This really has to stop in my opinion. I mean San Antonio is a good team, but everybody else has skill defensively except for Bowen. The league should really look into this, so far in the past Allen has gotten injured in previous years, Carter did not get injured but got ejected on a technical because Bowen stuck his leg out during a three point shot, and Anthony Parker of the Toronto Raptors got injured because of ;anding on Bowen's foot.

I'm not saying I hate the guy but it happens an awful lot and far too much for it to be coincidental. Thoughts?

The reason is because Stu Jackson didn't discipline Bowen after players filed complaints against him intentionally putting his foot under jump shooters. Bowen gets away with playing dirty because the league allows it.

This generation of NBA players are soft and tolerate someone like Bowen. They can't handle it mentally and you don't see retaliation from teammates like you did a few decades ago.

If Bowen was using these dirty tactics in the 80's and early 90's a team's enforcer would have busted Bowen up or one of the other Spurs to send a message.

I don't understand why a player won't just do the same thing to him. It's not like the league would reprimand you, because they've already set a precendent.

Its true the league does need to crack down on it. Its happened far to many times for it to be accidental. I mean, twice in one year on Steve Francis!?

On a side note I have to admit I've done it. A very very good player on the opposing team very intentionally undercut me while i was going for a layup, resulting in my landing on my shoulder and neck. The guy could of killed me or at very least seriously hurt me. When I got back in the game I stuck my foot out on his next jump shot causing him to roll or sprain his ankle..not sure which. Not nice of me no, but tick for tat

You know what, I hope someone does put his leg out when Bowen does his three point shot next time, not to injure the guy for him to stop his career, but to show him why players are annoyed with him. I really think that he thinks he's a great defender but I think it's because players are aware that he might stick his leg out and will shoot differently because of it.

It really gets to me that the league has not fined him for doing this stuff.

Well Carter did try attacking him lol, but that wasn't a teammates thing, just him. I think Stern likes it like this though, I mean we have a lot of rules preventing anyting outside of being nice.
