.... due to personal reasons. Apparently on the SCORE this afternoon they said he'll miss Friday's match-up against the Cavs and Saturday's against the Cavs. [IMG]

At least it's not injury related. We're really going to miss the guy saturday in Clevland. I'm sure whatever it is it won't affect us long term.

    MICHAEL GRANGE

    Globe and Mail Update

The Toronto Raptors will have to play their next two games without Andrea Bargnani, who had to leave the team for personal reasons.

The first-year power forward missed the team's practice Thursday morning and instead was trying to fly home to Rome due to an illness in his family.

Bargnani is expected to miss Friday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Air Canada Centre and a game Saturday in Cleveland against the Cavaliers. The Raptors' next game is Tuesday in Washington against the Wizards.

Bargnani was scheduled to fly Thursday night, weather permitting.</div>link

I hate to speculate on a personal tragedy but i would guess the illness is likely terminal and sick family member is likely is on their deathbed, otherwise how else would he have known the length of of his trip planned out? I really hope the big rook is alright - - clearly there are bigger things to worry about in life than missing two games.

we actually caught a break with the storm. Bargnani won't be flying out until tomorrow so he is going to play tonights game.

I read that as well. He'll still probably miss a couple of games in either case though.

Edit: Looks like he will only miss one game now.

22-21 Toronto after 1. Bargnani seems to be struggling a bit going 1-6. Good effort though, just not knocking down shots that he usually makes.
