Well Tyson is having himself a hell of a season down in New Orleans, he is trailing KG by around .3 for the rebounding title this season, and has been solid on the offensive end as well scoring nine a night. Does anyone wish we could go back and have kept him on the team? Personally, I always liked Tyson, but if we could go back in time. I wouldn't change a thing. Although, Wallace hasn't averaged the best numbers his simple presence defensively has given our team an "intimidation" factor to them. I could go more in depth with this, but I'm pretty tired at the moment so i will expand on my view later.
If there was a way of keeping Tyson and Wallace, sure. But wallace gives us a star and PJ ain't doing bad nowadays. Maybe we could of kept J.R. Smith, or had a better offer for a bigger man?
I always liked him as a player, he just needed to improve on offense. I would have loved to keep him if his contract wasn't so big because Big Ben just got a huge contract. Tyson's putting up huge numbers. He's even doing way better on offense getting almost atleast 10 a night. He's had a pretty nice streak of double-doubles. 14 out of his 15 last games he's had double-doubles. And then one he didn't he had 9 points.
Tyson Chandler, I do not miss him. If you think about it, Tyson Chandler really hasn't mixed with the formula of the Bulls. We have defense, now all we need to do is develop Tyrus Thomas.
Too much foul trouble. I wouldn't change a thing despite his career year. He also doesn't provide any leadership what-so-ever.
no i dont want Chandler back, if it wasnt for Chris Paul getting star respect from the refs chandler would not b able to get away with a lot of stuff unlike he was 4 Chicago. To me, Chandler is 7'1 and is only getting 12 rebounds while 6'8, 6'7, guys like Wallace, Brand, Shawn r averaging 9 and 10 rebounds a game. I know this sounds funny but to me he should b averaging 15 imo since he is like on of the tallest players in the league that plays good minutes imo. Tyrus Thomas has showed us much more potential then Chandler. If Chandler really cared about being in Chicago he would have moved closer to Illinois instead of still living in California especially after he got that 60 million dollar contract. Although Chandler may have more points and rebounds then Wallace but who has more assists, blocks, steals? Id rather have a cheaper Tyrus Thomas than all Tyrus Thomas, Tyson Chandler, and Ben Wallace on my team.
I wouldn't change anything. Tyson always had issues here in Chicago. He doesn't have much offense (neither does Ben) and his consistent foul trouble kept him from being a consistent prescence on the defensive end. With Ben, we have a guy that doesn't get in nearly as much foul trouble and his prescence alone is enough to keep people from gonig to the post as much. Tyson doesn't have that yet.
