<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">PORTLAND, Ore. - Chances are, they don't fly you cross-country to have a doctor say you're fine. That's probably what ran through Emeka Okafor's head as he boarded a plane back to Charlotte on Thursday. The Charlotte Bobcats sent their star power forward home, to get an MRI on the left calf strain that cost him the past three games. Sounds like Okafor will be out for a while. "The way they described the swelling, it was unusual," coach Bernie Bickerstaff told the Observer before the game against the Portland Trail Blazers. "We need him to get an MRI and start an extensive rehab program." Bickerstaff said he "doubts very seriously" Okafor can recover in time to rejoin the team for any of this six-game Western Conference trip. Okafor's absence robs the Bobcats of their best rebounder and shotblocker. That was particularly evident Wednesday in Sacramento, where the Kings shot 63 percent from the field and took 50 trips to the foul line.</div> Source
The inuries not going to require surgery so we dodged a blow. We've played so bad without him in the lineup almost looks we're losing on purpose. We've given up 3 120+ games in our last 5. There just isn't any interior defense when we don't have Okafor back there and none of the regular contributers can gamble as much without him back there. It's last year all over again!
