But there is a bigger picture than that, you have to take into account the adjustments the nuggets had to make to fit iverson into the offense, there still in that process, you also have to recognize the key injuries that they have had. nuggets will make playoffs, 76ers wont, simple as that, you would have made playoffs with AI.

Did you forget that AI sprained his ankle and missed games, and that the Nuggets were missing Melo as well? They still haven't even played that many games together.

I'm not really focused too much on the Denver stats, actually I could have not even posted them.

I just think our team plays better.

Most winning teams play as a team and have fun.

Most winning teams have a core balanced attack and do not have to rely on one player.

Most winning teams play with that grit on defense.
The reason for this comment is because when AI was on the team the other players would not get that much touches if even allowed to shoot at all. That makes them lazy on defense. Without Allen they know they will get the ball so its a all round team effort. Which we were lacking with him.

^ We have nothing like this until he was gone.

Don't get me wrong. AI was good when he was here and we won alot of games, but not the team is more fun to watch IMO cause I know the players are actually enjoying themselves.

So much that there asses are going to get us less pingpong balls.

Sorry for the 2x post. Someone can merge it.

You also have to account for schedule strength. I'm not sure how tough your schedule was before the A.I. trade, but those wins are all against pretty crappy competition (aside from a couple surprises against Cleveland and Phoenix).

I wouldn't say we are better off without Iverson, but the offense is much more efficient. Prior to Allen leaving the offense was built to fit Iverson, while everyone else stood and watched. Since he has left everyone is contributing. Iguodala has become a 20 points per game guy, Korver has gone for 30 a couple of times, etc. The AI trade was one that needed to be made.

Well thats a given though. Allen is a scorer and needs shot attempts to be really effective, you replace him with some role players and you have a lot more shots to go around, thats pretty simple.

It's not just about shot attempts, it about ball movement. Wade, Lebron, etc. all demand a large amount of shots, but their teams still maintain a decent amount of ball movement, to the point that role players such as Kapono, Gooden, Haslem, etc. all get their shots. With Iverson on the 76ers that was not the case, one night Iguodala might get 12 shots attempt and the next he would get under ten. The ball was constantly in AI's hands and the team relied way too much on him on the offensive end.
