1. Ohio State - there's no way they're the best team in the country, but nobody else is, either 2. Kansas 3. UCLA 4. Texas A&M 5. North Carolina 6. Wisconsin 7. Georgetown 8. Maryland 9. Don't take this as bitching, I'm just wondering why is North Carolina at least 2-5 spots ahead of Florida in all of these polls? They have been struggling close to Florida as of late and have some bad losses like Florida does, while having 1 more loss. I'm not saying I would rank Florida over North Carolina, I'm just saying I wouldn't rank North Carolina 5 spots ahead of Florida.

Not bad, I hate seeing teams like Memphis and Winthorp this high up, but the better teams aren't doing enough to distance themselves from the rest of the pack. I'm surprised Arizona isn't in everyone's Top 25. They've been on fire the last few weeks, including 3 road wins against the Pac-10.

Really, they're a few stupid mistakes away from having wins over Wisconsin and North Carolina on their record if you think about it, and their only other losses are to Texas A&M and Maryland. Otherwise, they're perfect on the year.

The UNC game was in the beginning of the season, so I don't put much stock in it. The Tarheels destroyed them in the 2nd half of that game, which is probably a more clear indication of how that game should have went. In the Wisconsin game, Winthorp was hot from behind the arc (15 three pointers). How often is a team going to hit 15 threes on 25 attempts? For me there just isn't enough evidence to rank them in the Top 15, and the evidence available to us, they lost all 4 times. However, I do think Winthorp will be a team people want to avoid in the Tourney. Teams who aren't ready for their pressure D and the 3 point shooting are going to go down. They are tough to game plan against.

I'm not going to debate those two wins, both were solid. I just don't see anything spectacular on their resume.
@ owls popping up again All I can say about Winthrop is that when I've watched them, they've been REALLY impressive. They have 8 guys who can shoot the 3, and even that 6'10" guy can step out. I think they play much like Oregon does, TBH. They'll press at times, have multipe guards who can handle, pass, score. I don't have a problem ranking them - I think they'd be 3rd in the Big 10 this year That is unless they had to face the legend that is Drew Neitzel As far as Zona, I have noticed that they got a few wins now, but I can't yet rank them. I've seen them a bunch this year, but I actually haven't seen them get spanked. That's what really scares me - I've seen them play well, and they're still one of the worst defensive teams I've ever seen in college hoops. I just don't feel right ranking them. Realize that since I'm counting them out here, they'll be in the Final Four
