Well, the Celtics have now won 4 straight games. You would think the Sixers would take advantage of this, and drop a couple of games. But instead, they won by 1 last night against the Grizzlies in OT. To make matters even worse, we're up by 19 right now against the New Jersey freaking Nets in the 3rd freaking quarter. Way to take advantage of a great opportunity to get behind the Celtics in the standings. If we win tonight, we will tie the Celtics with a 4 game winning streak, which means we're no more better than where we started.

Meanwhile, Memphis has really stepped up lately with all the losing

Why is this bad? The 76ers are obviously a better team than they showed early on in the season. Instead of tanking and not even having a top 3 pick guaranteed, it's better that they learn to win now, so they can make some noise next season with their lottery pick.

Brian, they won again tonight by 13. Korver, Igoudala, and Green all scored above 20. They started out down by 17 in the first quarter. Korver scored 13 in the first half and BAM! they were in the lead and never looked back.

Because it's obvious this team doesn't have what it needs to go to the next level, and it looks like there are two superstars in the making at Texas and Ohio State right now.

But the chances in the lottery will still be ok, hopefully.

The 76ers are obviously better. Why tank, especially if you're not even guaranteed those superstars? Let these young players learn what it takes to win and make a run with their lottery pick.

If we continue winning as much as we are right now, our chances will be slim we even land a top 5 pick

I'd have to quit watching basketball if teams were to start dropping games for "better draft picks."

Yeah we'll still have a top 10 lottery pick, but the chance of getting Greg Oden or Kevin Durant is very intruiging for us 76ers fans.

I'll just have my fingers crossed when the lottery balls are bouncing. Let's hope Durant and Oden delcare in the first place.

its really good to see the young players getting better and playing some ball like people thought they would when they were drafted. I dont think a 4 game winning streak is anything to worry about. More than likely, we will end up with the 1st-3rd worst record in the league and that is a pretty good chance at getting the 1 or 2 pick. Anyway, even if we dont get oden or durrant, Wright looks pretty damn good too and i wouldnt be too dissapointed picking him up.

Even if you don't get a pick high enough to get Oden or Durant, theirs still a lot of talent in this years draft (if they declare) like Brandan Wright, Julian Wright, Thaddeus Young, Yi Jianlian, Al Horford etc. You guys are getting too caught up in the Oden/Durant hype. Yes, Oden and Durant are going to be franchise players, but players like Brandan Wright, Young, Jianlian are going to be All-Stars too, just not franchise players like Oden and Durant.

I can't believe people actually expect teams to tank games for players who aren't even proven on the biggest stage. Remember Ryan Leaf? Kwame Brown? Two extremely hyped players who dominated their competion (Leaf in College, and Kwame in HS). One was an embarrassment and the other is a good role player.

If you are winning, then win. Some fans are an embarrassment to their team, like Laker fans who think they can get Garnett for Sasha and picks.

Let's make a bet that Kevin Durant won't turn into Kwame or Olowokandi or Ryan Leaf type-of-player !? [IMG]

I never said he would, infact, I do believe he'll be a McGrady clone, but there is still a chance he could suffer a major injury, or just buckle.

It is not a big deal, I'm pretty sure the Sixers will have a better record than the Celtics in the end.
