We didn't trade Vince. We didn't trade Jason. So what's left? Firing Frank. Don't get me wrong. I don't hate the guy. He has very strong points and is an above average coach...it's just that, he's lost this team and they've zoned out his voice. If we are keeping Vince, Jason, and this team is still losing, then I think there is only one route to take. Fire Frank.
Who cares if he's fired this season? We aren't getting anywhere anyway, because we just suck. Firing a coach for the sake of actually doesn't something, isn't exactly oh-so great.
If we fire Frank we need to find a better replacement then an assistant coach. Once we get RJ back, lets see how we play then if things still don't turn out good, then maybe we could fire Frank after the season cause we cant just fire him before the playoffs and get a guy who doesn't know anything about the team.

YOU TALKIN BOUT THE PLAYOFFS??? Don't get too ahead of yourselves. You guys just lost to the freaking 76ers AND the Celtics, two of the worse teams in the league

The Magic can still get hot when their injured players return. Plus, the Knicks have the great Stephon Marbury and Eddy Curry
I don't see the point of firing him, because he's lost the team. First of all, your best players are veterans. There should be a lot more accountability on them to be more consistent and lead this club (I'm looking at VC). Secondly, despite the fact that no one was traded at the deadline, this team still needs to go through some rebuilding. Unless there's a legit replacement in your mind, firing Frank is a lateral move that has the potential to be hurt your team.
I was expecting a thread like this. Is it Frank's fault the Nets lost Krstic and Jefferson? Or Frank's fault Carter was atrocious tonight?
The injuries are not Frank's fault. But he has not been able to make the right decisions anymore. He was an "incredible temp" nothing more. the Nets need someone that can take them to the next level. Frank did what he could when he replaced Scott. Thorn pushed he's luck too much with Frank. I doubt that he will be fired anytime soon. Like I said, Thorn is just riding out the remaining time they have in New Jersey. It's as simple as this. Whether the Nets make the playoffs or not, it doesn't make much of a difference to Thorn.
How many of you who say the players are accountable have watched Nets-post game interviews? Which one of you saw Frank keep Vince in with 5 fouls during the Nets-Suns triple overtime game? Which one of you saw Frank ask Jason Kidd to guard Paul Pierce in the waning moments of a tight game, only to see Pierce drain the game winning shot? When throughout the entire game, Richard Jefferson was holding Pierce to a 30% shooting night? Why would Frank do such a thing? Which one of you see Frank persist on taking out a hot Boki Nachbar for Antoine Wright? Or how about drawing up bad plays for the clutch? (Golden State, Celtics, etc) How about the post game interviews of the game. Any of you watch that? Any of you hear Frank just shrugging off close loss to close loss as if it is the norm? Suns game aside, it seems as if he expects us to lose tough games. Players lose games. But obvious by the trade deadline, we are keeping the players. We chose these players. But there is still something to do about Frank's mental break down during the moments we need him to lead.

Well I think we should stay with Frank till the end of the season. A first round sweep or missing the playoffs, Frank is gone.
