He just started practicing with the team again, theres been no timetable for his return that I've heard. I'd estimate about a week, maybe less, but I have no idea at all. Last season he sat down the stretch even though he was cleared to play because we were already out of the playoffs and didn't want him to re-aggravate his injury, which is a possibility this season if Nellie is tanking.
Yeah, the way things are going (0-4 and soon-to-be 0-5 road trip pretty much sealed our chance of making PO), there is no reason for Davis to come back and decrease our ping pong ball. I won't be surprised if Davis is done for good this season, whether he is injured or not...
Well there's still 21 games left. Too bad, because that's enough that Baron might be asked to come back. If it were 10 games left, that'd be different. I'd rather he just sit out, though. However, i don't want JRich to sit out because I still want him to prove he can regain his old near-allstar form. These last 20 will give JRich a good opportunity to prove that. with baron, we know what we have. Let him sit out.
I wonder what the status of Chris Taft is. If he is getting over his back problems, which may not be the case, and if the Warriors are going to pack it in for the season, maybe the Warriors can find some time to look at Chris Taft. Then again, he would probably not be in any shape to play for this team.

The Warriors could look at re-signing him, but that might be a longshot, given their history with him. It wouldn't hurt to audition a few of the stars in the D-league, however. Who knows, that's how we found Azibuiike and he's a stud, especially at that price. Let's call up a few more!

They've been given plenty of opportunity to lead us to the POs and have failed miserably. I was upset to hear JRich was being shopped during the all-star break, but no more. I'm ready to go in a different direction, but not so sure the Warriors will be willing to do so. If JRich was REALLY being shopped, then it is a good direction.
Yeah, if he returned to his OLD FORM, when he was like 12th highest scorer in the league and best rebounding guard in the league, then he'd be a good value at his price. But even if he can regain the form, JRich is not a franchise #1 guy. He just doesn't have the ball-handling skills to create his shot anytime he wants. Just the way it is. Great player in his defined role, good 3rd option to score 17-20 pts, at $10-12 mils it's okay, but we almost get as much production from SJax in that regard. If JRich gets his hops back and starts throwing down a few dunks every game, then it's a different story, because he's the heart and soul of the squad. But the Warriors won't be a PO team with JRich/Baron as their #1/#2 guys. They need a franchise PF. This team MUST DO WHATEVER IS NECESSARY TO GET A FRANCHISE PF. Easier said than done, obviously, but that's what we need. harrington is expendible. Looks good from outside at times, but overall in the long-run just faulty at the power position. SJax is hot or cold, hit or miss. Expendible. Pietrus? Gone. Barnes? Expendible. Foyle? dead weight... Yeah that Foyle thing hurts big time. Just imagine this team's cap / roster situation if Foyle was off the books. We would be in a prime position to get MUCH BETTER this offseason. Oh well. Hopefully we can swing some serious trades. Keep Monta and Beans.
So sad to hear this coming from you guys.. i still believe in them two. We still haven't given them a chance. Last year the coach was just awful and this year 3/4 of the year Jrich was out. Imagine if Jrich was still healthy like he was last year and Baron was playing like he was before he got hurt. You think we'll still be out of the playoffs?

Neither of those guys are all-stars. You'll have to include Monta or AB which we won't do. If the rumors were true, the most we could've got for JRich was Darko. I doubt there was any serious talk for Pau Gasol. As for Pietrus, I'm not so sure the Warriors won't re-sign him. It depends on how much is he asking and how much he gets from other teams.

As for injuries, I'm not sure if Baron can last a season. He came in real good shape this season and still he couldn't make it into spring. As for JRich, he may be able to regain his form, but his lack of D hurts him. On that last play, at least MP was trying to defend, albeit he ended up running into Arenas. JRich just stood there.
I wouldn't be upset if the Warriors tried to see what kind of value the team can get for Richardson, Jackson, or Harrington. I think they mostly do about the same type of things, which is score, and when they aren't scoring then it's just like "Why are you even on the court?" I wouldn't be upset if Harrington and either Jackson or Richardson are traded if it is a legit trade that brings the team someone who is more of a superstar or a top PF including Pau Gasol, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce(maybe), AK47? (if it is something like Jackson and Harrington for him) and idk...
