I've always liked the guy, and I was pretty upset when he left our organization. The guy won't be a "big" signing, but he's a decent point guard that can give us some effective minutes

I think in his book, The Last Season (not exactly sure) he talked about how Pargo was crying when the Lakers let him loose because he loved the organization, and playing in the triangle offense
we need to get another defensive big guy in our lineup kurt thomas, danny fortson, mikki moore, varejo, or mutumbo then a good point guard (great if we got billups) but not gonna happen and a good backup for Kobe (Deshawn Stevenson) Plus he's from fresno so he'd defentinly want to play for da lakers.

Pargo was crying as he cleaned out his locker and in a team meeting several days following his release, the coaches told the rest of the team that it was a shame that he had to be cut because he's exactly what Phil wants in a player. A kid who is willing to learn, with a great work ethic, and someone who puts the team and Phil's system first.
