Lamar used to be known as The Goods, but with his two shoulder tears and knee sprain, I like to call him Damaged Goods. Right now, I think his stock is at a low and we should've traded him when we had the chance for Artest or Kidd. With the recent injury, do you think Mitch and Co. will shop Lamar around this summer, to see if people are still interested in him? According to some reports that came out around the deadline, teams are very interested in him and feel that the triangle isn't for him, which I think has become a reality. After tearing his labrum again on the same shoulder, is he worth trading? Will we get anything close to a good deal? Do we even explore a trade this offseason? If we don't make it out of the first round...or even worse, don't make the playoffs, is it time to end the Lamar experiment?
Who's going to be willing to pay Lamar 13+ million a season for two more seasons? The Lakers would likely have to take back a bad contract.

Im sure the KG Deal is still open... Remember we refused to give Lamar in that trade... Lamar and Kwame for KG or we could go for Gasol who wants to leave memphis
Minny wanted Bynum, as well from what I read. We won't give him up. KG is the biggest pipe dream, and Laker fans need to let go of it. The only way KG comes here is if he signs here after opting out. What would he sign for, the MLE? I'd be surprised. I'm so sick of hearing about KG to the Lakers, we've been hearing it since Shaq left. It's not going to happen, stop bringing it up. Memphis can get better for Gasol, they don't have an idiot GM running their team.

But did the Lakers refuse to give up Odom for Gasol ? Or Memphis wants Bynum and Kobe in that trade ? Lol, Gasol isn't comparable with a huge future hope and the best player in the league.
We were never in the running for Gasol, they don't want our trash. If there was a deal with Memphis, it would obviously have to include Bynum, which we aren't giving up. Where did this Gasol thing come from?
LMAO off at "Damaged Goods" At this point Odom's value is at an all time low. He's only had one great effort since he returned from last injury, and inconsistency continues to plague Odom. If the Lakers end up trading Odom, they have to get a viable second option in return. I've always liked the idea of Paul Pierce playing next to Kobe.
Paul Pierce playing alongside Kobe Bryant doesn't really have a chance IMO. Boston would not be willing to take on Lamar Odom's huge contract in their rebuilding efforts. As of now, I really doubt any team would be very interested in him. If we do trade him, we will most likely get less talent in return, and will most likely have to take on bad contracts. I've given Lamar the opportunity to prove himself again after his injury. I've always defended him, but after this recent injury, I'm not so sure how well he fits onto this squad. I mean, just yesterday, we played the best basketball of our entire season without Lamar in the lineup. Granted, we didn't win the game, but I doubt Lamar would have much effect in the score. Personally, I feel that the 24/7 project is dead. It's over. I would love to trade Odom for some more help, but I doubt that happens because his value is at an all time low
If only the Lakers could trade Odom for Shaq and Bynum+Kwame for KG, they might as well plan another 3-peat
<div class="quote_poster">dallasdude Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">If only the Lakers could trade Odom for Shaq and Bynum+Kwame for KG, they might as well plan another 3-peat </div> I'd be open to bringing in KG, but I'd want no part of Shaq on the Lakers team. Brian, you might be right, but Lamar Odom is the type of veteran player who could help a young team like Boston, because he doesn't like scoring. In an uptempo style of offense where Odom could rebound the ball and then transition right into a fastbreak with the athletes Boston has, it would be a solid trade for them. Pierce is obviously the better player, but he's a scorer and needs shots. If the Celtics do commit to rebuilding, Odom might be the better long term fit for their ball club. Odom is also signed for less money, shorter contract, and is 2 years younger than Pierce.
