Warriors went on an 11-0 run to end the half thanks to many no-calls, run outs, and technical fouls. 61-55 at half with Warriors leading. Nice to see the team playing well now that everyones healthy but its probably too late unless they go on a huge streak to end the season.

After this game we have 20 games left on the season; 11 home and 9 on the road. Unfortunately we play a lot of tough teams; Dallas twice, San Antonio twice, Utah twice, Houston and LAL (both on the road). Its safe to assume thats 7 or 8 losses right there, that leaves 12 winnable games of which we'll basically have to win all of them. Improbable but with everyone healthy it looks like tanking isn't going to be much of an option.

Change the title of this thread to "Warriors Thrash Pistons At The Palace", kthnx.

Less turnovers, less fouls, and we're still getting smashed, 82-65

oh man...we won? if the refs hadn't screwed the dubs yesterday we would be sitting at 28-34. or maybe we only won today BECAUSE we lost in that fashion yesterday...who knows.

I guess that's what this team is capable of doing when fully healthy. The Warriors are still only 3.5 GB of the 8th seed, and if they can stay healthy, they still have a legit shot to get the 8th or 7th seed.

That would be nice. I am kind of tired of making predictions for this team. But if they make a run I don't plan on getting in the way and preventing it, if there is still a shot. One win doesn't say a lot for me anymore with this team. It's about quantity not so much quality. The Warriors fail in getting the quantity part down. Well I guess there also haven't been very many quality wins either this season. Hopefully they can start getting a lot of wins now to get back in it if that is possible.

There lies the problem with the Warriors. They beat up on teams that probably don't respect them enough to play up to their full potential...

..and the Warriors aren't terrible enough of team to get top 3 pick in a deep draft and not good enough to be 8th seed (without a doubt) like the Memphis Grizzlies with Shane Battier and Hubie Brown.

This is purgatory... You know the Warriors are probably going to finish strong this season and still miss the playoffs... It's going to suck... Make up your mind Warriors! Tank or get healthy and mentally strong enough to compete!

Oh and one more thing. Jrich is the man! Love the guy!

They'll make a push with a healthy lineup, win 37 or 38 games and barely miss the playoffs, end up with the 13th pick in a draft with 12 good player...

Yeah, that sounds like the Warriors all right. [IMG] ...or we wind up with a guy that's solid "in theory" but can't find a position in the nba because they don't have dominating strength or speed or shot touch to compete with. ...or we wind up with a project that might not even be that usable in the long run.

Where are the Battiers, Mike Millers, Joe Johnsons, younger PJ Browns/Dale Davis' when you need them? We're talking just simple role player guys that can take a bigger role if needed and maybe even be one-time all-stars or better later on.

Maybe we just don't develop them right because our team never gets anywhere as a team.

I think this was the first time since the trade that GS had their intended starting five out there:

    Baron
    JRich
    SJax
    Harrington
    Biedrins

It was probably why they were so pumped up, finally playing their true 5... it didn't look like they missed a PF like Powell at all tonight... Harrington did fine inside on the glass... what's up with this team? If they play like this I may actually start believing... just in time to get my hopes smashed again...!

Or maybe other teams' role players perform so well against the Warriors that we just overrate them and wish we had them. Actually Battier and PJ Brown are good role players. Also maybe players out of high school don't make good role players unless if they are playing with Tim Duncan (i.e. Stephen Jackson with the Spurs)? Even Kobe needed some help from Phil Jackson to find Kobe the proper role with Shaq and company. Also I think the Warriors have had some good role players this season with the emergence of Matt Barnes, Azubuike, Mickael Pietrus(well besides recently), Mike Dunleavy, Adonal Foyle, etc. The Warriors somewhat find decent role players, they just pay them too much, i.e. Mike Dunleavy, Adonal Foyle, and Derek Fisher.

The Boss (Baron) back with The Heart of the team (Jason Richardson) along with the emerging young cast of players (AB/Monta) along with the mid-season additions(Al/Jackson) I suppose have something to prove and to earn and display. Now only if the refs didn't hand some games to the opponents maybe...haha...maybe it's hard to be pessimistic, at least for me, and especially being a Warriors fan. If all the time you are pessimistic, then the Warriors will be unhealthy for you to be a fan of, haha.

But then again, maybe they are shining, "just in time to get my hopes smashed again...!" haha I like that line. Now the mission is to become like the Dallas Mavericks and don't lose!!!!

It amazes me sometimes as to how this is the most active team forum on Message Board.

    lol

I could have watched the game last night, but I chose not to. In fact since this losing streak I have missed several games by choice. Had I known Baron was going to be back for sure I might have watched this game. I think it is safe to say this team is now at full strength and there are apsolutely no excuses. They either put up or shut up. It may be too late to make the playoffs, but this should give us an idea of what this team is capable of. I wish we could have at least won 2-3 on this road trip, but the lead is not insurmountable at this point; all we have to do is win 3-4 more games than everyone else...
