<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">PHILADELPHIA -- The 76ers began talking about the playoffs Sunday night after winning their fourth game in a row, which moved them to six games of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with 22 games remaining.

Realistically, the Sixers' chances are slim. But it's not impossible. If the Sixers go 17-5 the rest of the way, they will finish 39-43. That could be good enough for the postseason.

That kind of finish might seem next to impossible, especially after the Sixers began the season 5-19. But they are 12-9 since Jan. 19. They are on a season-high four-game winning streak, and they have won five straight at home.

And, as Sixers guard Andre Iguodala pointed out, there is a precedent for a playoff push by a team that was 20 games under .500, like the Sixers were just last week.

The Orlando Magic were 20-40 on March 6, 2006, after losing their sixth straight game.

But the Magic went 16-4 before they were eliminated with two games remaining. They lost those two games and finished 36-46, four games out of the last playoff spot, which Milwaukee got with a 40-42 record.

"Nobody was looking at them, and they sprouted up ... and surprised everybody," Iguodala said. "You're never out of it until you're out. We're going to keep playing hard and we're going to play like we have a chance."</div>

Wow, they better not make the playoffs. What are they going to do, win the championship?

If we make the playoffs this season, I will no longer want anything to do with this ballclub. We'll lose our 1st round pick this year in one of the best drafts in recent memory, since it's lottery protected. That will only leave us with Denver and Dallas's picks....

If the Sixers make the playoffs, they will definitely lose...however, that should make fans want to support them instead of visa versa.

If the Sixers make the playoffs, there will be even less fans then there are now.

This is going to end up like what happened to the Phillies last year. After Bobby Abreu got traded, everyone had written off the Phillies, but they won a bunch of games in the end and fell just short of making the post season.

Sixers won again tonight! Who needs Greg Oden when you got a team that's playing like the Sixers.

I cannot believe the 76ers are the hottest team in the East. 7 straight wins and a resurgent Sammy Dalembert. I'm not sure if it's enough to make the playoffs, but this team might not have to completely rebuild like everyone first thought.

I'm proud of these guys, yet I'm still mad that they are winning at the same time. What a weird feeling.
