I tested some possible scenarios in the Trade Checker and the ff. worked out: LA - Indiana -Odom + Vrad for J.O and Granger The Trade will reinforce the Lakers Frontcourt and will improve them Defensively at the same time adding another wing player that can run and is athletic. For the Pacers it will give them Lamar who is Versatile to contribute to the goal of the pacers to become a 'running and versatile team'. LA - Memphis -Odom(12.5) + Vrad(5.2) for Gasol(12.4) ang Miller(7.5) Basically same as the indiana trade, although it seems one sided Gasol and Miller are looking to move to Contenders (Gasol stating he wants to go to a contender and miller looking at his options rumor has it possibly Dallas). The addition of Odom and Radmanovic will contribute to the Greg Oden Plan coz' rad will boost Memphis' outside shooting (when healthy) and Odom will be a 'Facilitator' (not 2nd scoring option) to Oden, Gay etc. LA - Minnesota -Odom(12.5) + Kwame(8.3) + Vrad(5.2) for KG (21M) + RDavis (6.4M) Due to KG's huge salary kwame needs to be included just to match it, this will benefit both sides coz' mihm will 'hopefully be resigned and good to go' for 07-08 and Kwame will reinforce the Paint for the Wolves. Oh and Kg wants to move out. Thats just about it. LA-NJ (Reoffer) -Kwame + farmar + picks + 3mil in cash for Kidd This does not work on the Tradechecker, but would work if you add the 3mil in cash and picks for Kidd. All it needs is approval. IMO Kidd is down to the Last 2-3 years (starting next year) of exstatic numbers for his career so all he needs highlight his career of trip doubs is a ring. LA-Seattle -Odom(12.5) + Kwame(8.3M) + for Rashard (9.3M resigned and traded) + Wilcox(6.2)+ Wilkins(2.7) I know, i know it's looks lopsided BUT the Sonics LACk (and i mean LACK) size even though wilcox is good. The need a big body like Kwame. IMO this is a possibility but there is like a 10% chance it will happen. Note: this frees up around 2mil in cap space ofr the Lakers When is Brian Grant's Contract coming off the books? isnt it this summer? and it's worth 15.5 M which would have to mean that the lakers would have a total of 61.9 M in Salary for next year (Down from 77 M). Does that put us in a more flexible trading scenario?? or are we still over the cap? (NBA Cap 53.13 M) Pls share your thoughts but dont freak out these are JUST possibilities... you never know
The Memphis trade is my favorite out of the ones you came up with. Mike Miller is the dream guard for the Triangle offense. Creative with the basketball, tall, and can shoot the lights out. Gasol would give the Lakers an inside presence on offense, plus he has the ability to step out and hit jumpshots, when Kobe or Bynum are in the post. Brian Grant's contract comes off the books this summer, along with Mihm ($4.2M), McKie ($2.5M) and Shammond Williams ($1.75M) The Lakers however, need to spend $6M to $8M on Luke Walton, and then need to decide whether or not to re-sign Smush Parker and/or Chris Mihm. They will also have the MLE available, but the league hasn't set the amount it's worth yet. I'd guess it's going to be in the range of $5M to $6M.

The most realistic trade is probably the Seattle one. These trades are all pipe dreams. We don't have the pieces to acquire one of those players, unless the other GM is an idiot.

New Jersey and Seattle look possible, except the New Jersey one needs another contract added and Thorn seems to be holding out for Bynum.
I meant to say the Seattle one would be possible if Wilcox was taken out. I don't think Seattle would let him go.
