<div class="quote_poster">Duncan21 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">9 rings or not Phil Jackson can't coach for ****</div> How can you blame Phil? We had the game sealed up. It shouldn't have even went to overtime in the first place, let alone double overtime. We had the game sealed up in overtime as well, then we make some boneheaded mistakes, and off the double overtime, where we just completely collapse.
Duncan21, if you come in here again and bait, there will be a suspension issued. Read the guidelines and understand, baiting isn't allowed.
Kobe Bryant looks spent guys. He just had a blank look on his face at the end of the game. He played his heart out tonight leading the team in rebounds, assists, and points and his teammates FAILED him miserably. 53 minutes for Kobe tonight, because his teammates blew a lead the minute he went to the bench. Mitch and the organization better get the man some help this offseason.
He looked more than spent, same goes for Phil. Phil's expression said it all, "Why the hell didn't we acquire somebody at the deadline, this is stupid. These kids are playing worse than most nationally ranked HS teams." I expect to be blown out tomorrow night, especially with Kobe logging 55 minutes tonight.
This was a summary of the Lakers inbound plays. TO Kobe brick Cook brick Evans brick Smush brick TO TO TO Missed FT Missed FT This reminded me of the Detroit Lions when they get the football. INT Change of possession on downs Change of possession on downs Change of possession on downs Change of possession on downs Fumble INT Fumble Missed FG Missed FG
Night in and night out. The Lakers have a chance to seal it and win the game. Instead of calling a time out when its needed the most, he's gonna let the team play through ''adversity'' and watch them commit turnover afer turnover. The man does't want to coach. Promote his old ass to gm and give10 mill a year to Larry Brown.

I can't believe we're wasting the prime years of an extremely, extremely gifted athlete with this ****. Mitch needs to do SOMETHING.

Smush Parker journeyman Mo Evans journeyman Sasha Vujacic super scrub Brian Cook second round scrub Andrew Bynum 19 years old, barely played in high school Kwame Brown the cake throwing drunk
I feel the same way you guys feel about todays lost. I've been trying to support the lakers this year but it is getting harder as we approach the playoffs. I dont have much hope in this team as of now. If they depend on Kobe to do all the work we should just give it up.

He's made his share of mistakes, but overall, I couldn't be more satisfied with his performance. Mitch just hasn't given him much to work with.
Phil doesn't have anything to do with our inabilities to inbound a pass or Smush's abilities to secure a game because he can't shoot a FT. He's a flipping PG who shoots FT's worse than a big man.
I'm kicking myself over how things might be different if we made the trade at the deadline. (the one that wasn't backed down on)..who knows.

Well, like aways, he probably won't. I'm really sick and tired of this squad. It's a shame how we're just wasting away Kobe Bryant's prime. The guy is playing some of the best basketball in recent memory, yet the management hasn't given him anything to work with. I mean, the least we can do for Kobe is to get him a solid starting point guard. We have freaking Smush Parker starting for us. He IS the worst starting point guard in the entire NBA. On any other team, the guy probably wouldn't even average more than 15 minutes per game. I'm really sick and tired of all this losing. I know this year our squad won't bring us a championship, but I hope this offseason the Laker management at least does something to try to help Kobe, instead of wasting away his career. If not, then godforbid, I hope Kobe demands a trade.

Your critsizm of Phil Jackson is just ridiculous. How many coaches out there would have this team even above .500?
If Artest doesn't go to jail, I'd gladly take him. Hell, I'd gladly try and pry Rashard from the Sonics? Why. At least we know with these two players we'd get consistent offense or defense.
<div class="quote_poster">Duncan21 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Any coach wouldn't watch his team lose the game without calling a to</div> See Mamba's post (#69). There's nothing a timeout would accomplish if your players can't get the ball in-bound.
How about we just trade Kobe to a team willing to give him some help? I'm so sick and tired of watching him come out each and every night, and give it his absolute best, only to see the other guys blow the game by making stupid idiotic plays. Hell, we should trade Andrew Bynum for all I care. I love the kid's potential, but come on. He's the only big trade asset we have
<div class="quote_poster">Duncan21 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Any coach wouldn't watch his team lose the game without calling a to</div> PJax doesn't believe in coaching during games. He coaches in practice, and game time is a chance for the players to execute what they learned in practice. He doesn't believe in yelling and screaming at his players during a game. It's unorthodox, but it pays off in the long run. Unfortunately, the Lakers just don't have the veteran leadership PJax is accustomed to. This is a young team, they make stupid mistakes over and over again. He's part of this Positive Coaching Alliance movement.
