Darko has said he wants to stay and that he likes Orlando. I haven't heard that he wants out. It's just going to come down to who we want more - Darko or a big name free agent like Rashard or Vince. I choose Milicic. Check out Gators' thread to read more on it: http://www.justbball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67559

The Magic have a lot of young players they can build around in the future. When they add some solid veteran leadership, the team could be nasty in 3-4 yrs. I think next year you guys will see that the Magic are no joke and if they add some veteran leadership like R.Lewis then they can definitely not need to fight to make the East. They'll make it. Sure, JJ isn't doing anything now, but he's still a dangerous guy. Nelson is alright but I think Ariza and Dwight will be the best for us in the future.

They can't get Darko and Rashard. Are you saying that you would let Darko walk to sign Rashard? I'm just trying to get clarity of what you said in this post, since all of us still have Darko in the core and you didn't say you took him off.

I'm saying that there's a chance we could land both. You never know how much Darko wants. Maybe Lewis will come here for a reasonable price as well.

Unless our owner decides to shell out a lot more money to pay more luxury tax then I am anticipating, then there is no way we can financially sign them both. The highest we have been salary wise was 2 years ago when we had Francis/Mobley/Cato and we had around $68-70 million in salary. Signing Dwight and Jameer to extensions is going to only give us around $12-13 million max to sign players this off season, so unless Darko will take a mere $7 million and Rashard Lewis or VC takes a mere $6 million we won't get both.

Read this thread, I go way more into detail about it.....

Dwight Howard needs to dedicate all summer learning how to shoot free throws. There's no excuse for shooting 5-14 from the charity stripe. His mechanics are terrible, he needs to spend some of his new found wealth and hire a shot doctor.

I'm getting jittery and scared here. I don't know.

I have a feeling that Dwight might fair like KG. Have the wrong players built around him, and let the good players walk.

His last year contract money has me scared. Kobe doesn't even make that much.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mamba:</div><div class="quote_post">his offense is pretty limited to putbacks and dunks? Am I way off here?</div>

Yeah, way off. It is still raw, but he has atleast expanded to a nice hook and spin move.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mamba:</div><div class="quote_post">It's really not, outside of Dwight.</div>

If Darko pans out like he should(atleast how he has shown), then I can honestly say that those two will be something short of a Twin Tower combo. If you see this kid play like us Magic fans, he is deadly from all over.

His only problem is his timing, and his post game.
