Excused is different than being waived. Basically Artest is on the inactive list until the details of his arrest are revealed. The Kings will likely shut him down the rest of the season, but they still own his player rights.
damn you think that they will get rid of him after the season and his trade value has gone done so lakers might get him for someone cheap
Not really. All the trouble he causes off the court is way too much IMO. As of now, he's suspened by the Kings I believe. But still, given the circumstances that we currently are, I'd do anything for a change

And if its a trade then the Kings definitely won't trade him within the division, hes got low value but hes still a good player who would kill them 4 times a year playing in the same division. My guess is he gets traded to NY for whatever they can get to help them rebuild. The Sac fans will probably forgive him because they're very loyal (and dumb...j/k ), so there is a chance he'll stay. A large part of the decision may be up to Musselman. If the Kings have faith in Musselman and he either wants Artest gone or to stay then that could be the final decision.
That would be crazy if we could pick up Artest. Probably not gona happen, but he can really help us..
