I got this from Realgm, I don't know how accurate it is: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Quote from KG "We just contained everybody else," Garnett said. "We knew he was going to take the bulk of the shots. You could tell by his demeanor. "Once he did that, the other guy's didn't have much rythym, so we took advantage of that." </div> What game was Garnett watching? Did he not notice that nobody else on this team can play ball? Did he not notice that nobody else on this team even has a rythmn? Did he not notice Kobe's 13 boards and 8 assists? Maybe KG isn't the right fit for this team, I'd much rather pursue somebody that actually understand what Kobe has around him. KG has much better help around him, and look how pathetic the Wolves are. He's one to talk about another man's team . KG isn't a stupid player, but these were stupid comments. Anyways, I'd rather pursue Jermaine O'neal if Mitch wants to pursue a big man, O'neal would be easier to get and isn't that much below KG.
I wouldn't mind JO. The other thing about him is his contract won't even touch KGs in all likelyhood, and he's a few years younger.
jermaine oneal is consistent i like him. It would be much easier and he is an allstar But like kg has a house ion malibu friends with maurice evans and kobe and cousins with shammond No brainer why doesnt he come I think hes scared after maurice dunked over him
So what if KG has a house in Malibu? Plenty of players have houses in cities they don't play ball in.
<div class="quote_poster">Mamba Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">So what if KG has a house in Malibu? And if kg comes he will get a shot for a ring which he will never get with Minnesota.
what's so bad about his quote???, lol...he just said that he could tell Kobe was going to try to carry a lot of the load, which is understandable given his circumstance....and KG > JO
Yeah, I was wondering as well. I thought I didn't read it correctly or something, but I don't see what was so wrong about it. I mean, I guess he was wrong, but this doesn't change my stance on KG at all. I still want him in a Laker uni
Laker fans can be very sensitive. That said nothing bad about Kobe, just that they knew he was going to take a lot of shots; which he did. He's basically saying they let him take his shots and guarded the rest of the team well. Nowhere he said Kobe didn't get 8 assists or 13 rebounds.

How is KG, in any way, dissing or putting down "another mans team?" I think you read that quote wrong, or you're being WAY too sensitive. I'll paraphrase it if you don't understand. All he said was that his team shut down the rest of the Laker squad, and knew Kobe was going to take the bulk of the shots. He said he could see it in his demeanor. Once his team was out of it, and Kobe starts to shoot a majority of the shots, the team as a whole loses its rythym.
How were these stupid comments? KG just said containing his teammates was the key to victory and Kobe was going to take the majority of the shots... which he did and always does.
Don't understand why he's being crucified for this. If its even true (RealGM is hard to trust), he's just stating the facts.
