I don't know why u say that he would have well surpassed walter payton.. emmitt wouldn't be the record holder.. and Barry did it all without an Oline or a passing attack.. Yes he has the most negative yards in the history of the nfl.. but he is far from overrated

Michael Vick, by far. I think he'll soon be replaced by Reggie Bush, though.

He had a decent line. It is just hard to block for someone who doesnt hit the hole clean. Even if had twice the yards of payton he wouldnt have been half the back. He got caught for a loss more times than any other back in NFL history because he danced around like a fairy too much. His style of running was not conducive to winning football games

And the lack of a passing attack didn't make it all that hard to figure out who to focus on.. If u gave Barry sanders the kind of passing attack that they had in lets say SF or atleast a different threat on the Detroit offense to take the focus off of barry.. and ya know what he did amazing things when the focus was on him.. his dancing made people look stupid

i knew people would say McNabb....

how did last year prove he was over rated? in the 2nd qtr of Game 2 he recieved basically the season ending injury that he refused to sit down for. then the 2nd half of the season, who could he throw to? the recievers sucked.

Is that an official stat that the NFL actually keeps track of?

Edit: You say Barry Sanders is the most overrated of all time, but haven't you always said that Lynn Swann is the most overrated player of all time?

What made you change your mind?
