I don't understand how anyone cancan dislike Steve Nash either (as a person and as a player). Like someone said, it's not really his fault that he won those MVPs...if you're going to be mad at anything for Nash's hype, be mad at the media. And him winning the MVP is a stupid reason to hate him anyway. Had he not been the MVP for 2 years, he would have still been in the running for it nevertheless. So, according to your logics, if he hadn't won the MVP, you guys wouldn't hate him? Anyway, I really dislike Lebron.

I said I (Le huevonkiller) wouldn't dislike the guy if he hadn't won the MVP. He kept it, so I'm pissed. Unreasonable? Hmm maybe a bit. But why do you dislike LeBron? Hypocrite?

I think it has to with the fact that I believe that Wade is a better player than he is (indavidually and in terms of team success), yet it's Lebron who's shoved down our throats as the leader of the pack. As for keeping it, obviously he's going to keep it. He was a legitimate MVP candiate. Maybe you felt he didn't deserve it, but there are plenty of people who would disagree with you. Last year's race could have gone either way; same with the 2005 race between him and Shaq.

But you are indeed a hypocrite. It isn't LeBron's fault he is getting "hype", as you say, right? He's 22 and his PER (last year) led the League (he's also playing well this year despite the toe injury). Don't preach fellow.
Steve Nash-he looks like the type of guy you see on the news for stalking 13 year old girls. Stephon Marbury-I don't know why, I just cant stand him Paul Pierce-Same as Marbury Ron Artest-For Obvious Reasons Tyrone Lue-He looks like a rat man.

I just don't agree with him being placed as a greater superstar than Wade in many people's eyes when Wade has proven himself more in this league. The only year of which I would agree that Lebron surpassed him would be thier rookie years. Edit: Oh, and Steve Francis (former star) and Marbury are two of the players I REALLY dislike in this game. I couldn't stand Marbury from the moment that he called himself the best point guard in the league, Actually, scratch that, I had preconcieved notions about him even before that.
I wouldn't say I HATE any superstar, but I like: LeBron, Nash, Kobe, Dirk, Carmelo. These guys all have egos but they don't talk about themselves in the 3rd person like the following superstars I Dislike: Gilbert "if I smile enough and crack jokes people won't notice what a self-absorbed arrogant guy I am" Arenas Shaq "I was so scarred by my strict upbringing that my insecurity continues to this day where I have to keep reminding people know how I'm the baddest for my age, and I'm the MDE or whatever else I need to say to get over my issues" O'Neal Allen "I act like I'm so misunderstood when in fact everyone understands me completely - that I am a spoiled baby in a grown man's body" Iverson
AI for leaving Philly Payton for leaving Seattle (Team loyalty does not exist in the NBA anymore) and the starting line up of the Pistons because 4 of those starters were all stars last year and only maybe 1 deserved it.

Why can't we say Kobe or Wade? -Not a big Melo fan after the brawl. -AI leaving was a bad move, IMO. -Alonzo Mourning even though he's not a superstar, but whatever. The Knick rivalries and his whining on teams (Raptors in particular) lost the respect I had for him. -Steve Nash has been ridiculously overrated and overhyped. It's not his fault, but I haven't exactly been rooting for him after how overrated he's become.
Stephon Marbury because MrJ likes him. Btw, it's uber retarded why we can't choose Kobe/Wade. If anyone else agrees, say "you to?" and quote me as saying "John Amechi". Sounds weird, but I just want to make sure someone takes the extra effort to voice their disgust of this thread's rules.
Carmelo Anthony. I just hate that dude for whatever reason. Dunno if he qualifies as a superstar though.
Jesus. Carmelo Anthony. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">lmao @ the hate towards Steve Nash simply because he won 2 MVP awards.</div> Funny how if he didn't win them all of the people who "dislike" him would either have no opinion toward him or like him. No one has a legit reason to dislike him other than "omg he stole teh MVP from mah fave playa". I guess the one about him looking like a pedophile is unaffected by MVPs though...

If I were running a company, I'd also market the hell out of a beast like him.

They have no control over what people say or how people percept them as a person. Its not like they're telling the media to praise and glorify their talent. All they can do is go out there, play their best, and try not to look like an arrogant player. I myself, hate the fact that Lebron is overrated and is praised too much, but I still respect him as a player cause its not his fault.

Edit: I don't understand how Tim Duncan's game is any more boring then KG's. Personally, I don't find TD boring; his game is as smooth as Ray Allen's game to me.
