Anthony expects the boy, who will be named Kiyan, to be born today in Denver.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity . . . ," he said of the birth. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."

    Are you being serious? He's 23, it's not like he's a teenager.

yeah I'm being serious. 23 is too young for a guy like him to be having kids. he's got a lot of maturing to do of his own most likely. many guys aren't able to really handle kids til they're 30 or so.

What? That's really not that young. My dad was 20 when he had me and he's been a good parent and raised me right.

I agree. Especially with Melo who is already immature for his age.

What do you mean? He's a basketball player who's making millions and is going to be able to support his kid. I was born when my parents were in their mid-twenties, and they raised me right. Hell, LeBron had a kid a year or two and he's almost 2 years younger than Melo.

What does it matter if "he's too young"...he has a kid on the way, he should be there for it.

Lebron? When did he get a kid? I know that Wade has one though.

What other priorites might he have? He is financially stable, and is getting married.

I don't understand what your basing your judgment on? Oh my bad, you must know Carmelo personally.

LeBron's son is 2 years old now. I just found out he's expecting his second child in June. Read about it here: http://www.celebrity-babies.com/2007/03/lebron_james_on.html

I don't see any issue with the man missing a game to witness the birth of his child. That's obviously something though that some people can't learn to respect at a young age.
