<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In a feature about Chauncey Billups' impending free agency, Denver Post columnist Mark Kiszla drops this little nugget: "the word on the street is Michael Jordan in Charlotte, one of the few clubs with money to burn, has the hots for Vince Carter, a renowned dunker in the final season of his deal with New Jersey." If Carter decides to not exercise his player option for 2007-08, he will be competing with Billups for free agent money this summer and Charlotte will have the cap space to acquire VC without needing to do a sign-and-trade deal with the Nets. In an interview with Bobcats television, Jordan said, "Obviously the problem in Charlotte is they don't have a Michael Jordan."</div> Source
didnt i post sometihng similar to this abuot a month ago? im trying to remember cause i remeber reading something ilke this
I actually remember Jordan criticizing Carter when he was in his prime with Toronto. People always made the comparison, and he said something like he doesn't play enough defense to warrant it. I'm still skeptical of Jordan's ability to judge talent. Kwame Brown. Adam Morrison. Who knows what's next?

He's only a rookie, I still think he's going to be a good player in the league.
I don't think he's going to be completely useless, but I do think that people really overlooked how hard it would be for him to adjust to the NBA. I mention it, because I remember hearing that MJ stepped in and voiced his preference for Morrison right after he joined Charlotte. It just seems that so many people highly regard his "eye for talent" when he hasn't proven that he's got a good one.
Vince Carter getting complimented by the best player to ever play the game could get VC going in a bit of a hot streak.
