I'm not defending this elbow, because I think it does warrant a suspension, but that's a natural basketball move for him. He clears space like that all the time.</div> Eternal, I guess we are just looking at the 3 incidents with a totally different perspective. But I do understand your point - the league made a bad call the first incident but they had no choice but to suspend him when the SAME incident occurred, again.
<div class="quote_poster">Pakman Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">The first situation was completely different, 4th quarter and 2 seconds remaining... Kobe basically hit Ginobili trying to get the ball in desperation. The other one against Jaric was just unnecessary. You should consider the situations instead of just "what happened." He does or he doesn't? Take a stand. My point was Kobe does swing his arm ... I mean even I do it when someone is all over me playing defense. Its a "get off of me" kind of move. I still say its unlucky that it connected with Korver's face. </div> Take a stand? Read the sentence again. He uses an elbow to clear space, but not as high as it went to clock Korver in the face. Mamba I'm not arguing Kobe doesn't use his elbow, every player in the league uses it when they drive to the basket. But he doesn't swing arm that high up on normal occassions.
