It's really an ignorant statement. If our group would have been healthy, that's one thing. But we had five guys have surgery before the All-Star break. If you do that to San Antonio, Dallas, Phoenix, what are you going to expect?" RJ also talks about his own injuries and ESPN ranks injury-prone teams: Nets are No. 4.</div>

We are a great team. Many experts picked us to win it all this year, but with all the injuries the team has faced, we haven't lived up to the expectations at all. I still think we can make the playoffs and beat the Cavs or Wizards, but not the Pistons.

As much as he may be right about the injuries, RJ's really ignoring the the fact that this team is really getting old fast. At their best, they've gotten a 2nd round exit and I don't see how you can think they'll improve upon that when there's still some fundamental problems with the roster.

Honestly, I don't think it would make that big of a difference. Something was wrong right from the start. We started losing early and losing to teams we should have easily beaten. There really isn't anywhere to go but break up. Sometimes its easier to start from scratch rather than trying to fix something that's unfixable anymore.
