The table's been set. The LA Clippers lost, so we can move into the 8th spot even though we have more losses than them [IMG] .

And the Indiana Pacers lost today, too. That's 9 losses in-a-row for Murfleavy.

i got a feeling that this might be a very close game. I hope Baron saved some of the intensity from the last game.

Monta is starting in place of Baron Davis. He will play, but not start...

They said in the beginning they are trying to get his knee loosened up. That scares me. They said he would play, but when is he going to play? So just when the Warriors are healthy, Baron goes down again. I hope he comes back or we are able to pull it out without him. I have faith we can pull it out...

This team needs desperately to grow a pair on the road. How dissapointing...

Just cuz we won a few in a row doesn't change how we always lose to the teams we should be beating.

This team is very Baron Davis centered, so if we lose him or he has a bad game, the rest of the team doesn't step up.

and we might as forget thinking about playoffs too. how the hell do we not beat Portland? Port freaking land?!?! this should have been a definite win for us, and now we go home and play Dallas, probably win, and then we will lose to both Minny and Seattle. what a team.

Damn, huge letdown game. Either Baron means that much or the Warriors suck that much on the road. Probably a bit of both.

I was ready to start rooting for the Warriors tonight, but after they fell behind, I ended up talking to a friend on the phone. Just as well because they were down by 18 or something in the 3Q after I got off [IMG] .

When I heard Baron couldn't play because of stiffness in his surgically repaired left knee, it reminded me of last season with JRich. Remember, JRich was saying Baron shouldn't come back early, but then Baron was back the next day on Monday and played. I supposed Baron was cleared to play, but maybe he should've just stayed out and we tank the season. At least, get him ready for next season.

If the Warriors are going to make the playoffs, then they have to make the POs. There is no in-between. That's what happened last season. We ended up in-between stuck in purgatory with 34 wins.

I say Baron shouldn't play tomorrow [IMG] . No use taking a chance doing further damage to his knees [IMG].

You guys still wanna trade Baron?? You see what happens when he's not in? We look like a complete different team. Monta is still unable to lead a team and still needs to learn on running the point. IMO Baron is the team, the leader and the man that can get this team into the playoffs. He is what gives this team chemistry and helps get others involved. He is able to get himself and others open and they are able to score. Monta is still missing that in his repertoire

Because while he has some mad skillz, what good is that if he's on the bench for 25+ games a year, which you have to admit by now looks like it will ALWAYS be the case?

Over the last 5 years, including this year and assuming very generously he plays every game the rest of the year, he's averaged 56 games a year. That's not even including the number of partial/rehab games he played. You can't build around a guy like that, no matter how good he is. And he's got a gigantic contract as well, so I say yes, if you can trade him, do it. Do it with regrets but do it fast.

Yeah but then we get 56 more games of garbage on the floor. The recent stretch of the 6 or 7 losses in a row followed by 3 wins in a row, then the loss to Portland proves how important Baron is to the team. If we trade him we're not going to get anything back. IMO he should get at least another season now that Ellis is competent coming in and playing PG fairly well for 20-30 minutes a night. That way Baron can play 30-33 minutes a night and hopefully last longer, in the mean time we could draft a PG and develop him and he'd be ready by the time Baron is gone or hope Monta will be a good PG by the time Baron leaves.

Right now there are no quick fixes in which we trade Baron and remain even close to as good of a team as we are right now (which isn't even very good to begin with). Baron isn't going to get us a big man, it doesn't even matter what you package him with. Teams will want guys who are younger, more durable, lower paid. The best we could do is to move him to a team who needs a PG (Cleveland, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, etc) for 2 or 3 role players and a late 1st round pick, at best.

Baron is making $15 mil per year (soon to rise to $17 mil per). That's the equivalent of $20M-$23M per year for a player that's playing 75 games per year. That can buy a lot of talent. Sorry, but I just don't think you can have a good foundation when the leader and highest-paid player on your team is a part-time player, just like it's usually a hard life to have a part-time parent. If the Warriors are serious about not just making the playoffs but eventually becoming a legitimate contender, they cannot have Baron as their centerpiece.

Utterly disheartening. Where is the Warriors' heart? Not even a close game in the 3rd and 4th. Who cares about Baron, not Baron, you've got to at least compete. 6 wins total on the road? That's just lack of professionalism.

Honestly, though, I really don't think there is ANY team in the NBA that is a roll-over. Even Memphis can blow you out by 20 if you don't bring your A-Game.

GS lost. Big deal. It wasn't like they were going to win 19 straight. Guess what? They are going to lose a few more, too. They'll probably lose to a bottom feeder, and beat a championship contender, before the year is out.

Now suck it up. Because we have a playoff run to go on, baby!
