If we want to go at least 10 and 6, let me unjinx it for us. Min-L @Sea-L @UT-L Was-L @LAL-L SAS-L Phe-L Mem-L @Hou-L @Mem-L @SAS-L UT-L @Sac-L Min-L Dal-L @Por-L "We're not making the playoffs" Okay, now watch what really happens... and this is good timing too because the 2001-current era Warriors typically play better towards the end of the season. Not sure if it's because they're out of the playoff race and the pressure is off. I'd hate to think the Warriors love being spoilers for playoff hopefuls.

Wow, I still read on NBA.com they are up by 2. Now down by 1. Nice, we need all the help we can get... The best news is the Clippers are down by almost 15 in the 2nd quarter against Houston... We might take over the 8th seed tonight...

we are now percentage points ahead of the clippers and proud new owners of the West's #8 seed. I think the 8th seed is the only one up for grabs now, looks like denver's finally beginning to get it together and the lakers are bound to snap out of the funk they're in, leaving 6 teams within 2 1/2 games of #8. this looks like it's gonna be a wild finish this year, lets hope the boys can pull it out.

Edit: it is updated, the Warriors have the 8th spot, for now. We dont play until Friday and that is against Utah so dont get too comfy... http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_c...ew_Std_Div.html

Then it's @ Seattle on Saturday. Utah is on Tuesday. But obviously there are no gimmies, so the team has to be fully prepared and ready to compete, not matter what. The Warriors can easily lose the next three games. Hopefully that won't be the case though. Hopefully they at least go 2-1. But I don't think going the way the Warriors did recently with losing to Portland and winning to Dallas is the best way to go this time. They should give it their all to win the first two, and then see what happens in Utah. I don't like the idea of adding more pressure to win in Utah. It's already difficult as is, coming down the stretch, and just playing Utah in their home is not easy.
Hey WFS93, you're right how can we get comfy when we're living in the playoff hunt game by game? There is no getting comfy unless we build up a huge cushion for games we can just blow. Once we're in, we're in, and then we can get comfy. We gotta make it pretty obvious that we've locked in the 7th or 8th.
Yeah, I am just saying we could lose it in just one game. I agree, we need to get a little cushion and I believe the next 3 games could be crucial. Utah has not been playing so well lately and lost last night to Orlando so anything is possible. I think we better clobber Minnesota since they are in the same position as us, with just fewer wins. We cant sleep on them. We need to put them away in the first half by 20+ like we did to Dallas. We should be able to win in Seattle and I think Utah is at home and you know how well we play at home. We could go 3-0 relatively easily and have a 4 game win streak on our hands for the first time since Nov...
Nice win vs. twolves, but I'm definitely feeling uneasy against the Sonics. Back end of a back to back on the road has been a disaster for the Warriors all season, and Ray Allen owns them. Plus, the Sonics are not a great team and the Warriors will often play to the level of their competition. Smells like a loss to me. It's been true all year and it still is: if they can't find some way to win a few games on the road, they are not going to the playoffs, period. They are looking really solid at home but this team still comes out too often lethargic, cold, confused, and sloppy on the road.
I agree.... but i think for once ..... this team will come out focused.... the vets know what is at stake.... i think we get that rare road win on a back to back too boot
Well, first off, without the Pacers trade, GS wouldn't be in this position at all IMO. I just cannot see a focused push like this with Murphleavy. More importantly, without SJax. Can you? Sjax has meant so much to this team's chemistry. So has Al. Both players bust their ass. I think Sjax is a main reason why this team can maintain it's focus into tomorrow's game. He's a vet with a ring, and he knows what it takes, especially defensively. Nellie is blessed to have him and I think those two guys are going to hold the group together in Seattle. It's still anyone's game, of course, but I don't see this team deflating the way the pre-trade roster might have. Go Warriors!
We are killing people! Granted they are home games, but this includes the big win at Auburn Hills! Warriors are going to be focused from here on out. They are allowed to lose against the top teams, but anything less than that will be a disappointment. So how did the other teams fair in the standings? Did LAC lose tonight?
