<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut apologized Tuesday for getting "caught up in the heat of the moment" and making an obscene gesture toward the home crowd while leaving the court. Bogut may face disciplinary action from the NBA for the outburst, which came near the end of Milwaukee's 108-93 loss to Toronto on Monday night. Bogut, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2005 draft, was ejected after committing a flagrant foul against Toronto's Chris Bosh with 49 seconds remaining. Milwaukee television station WTMJ showed video footage of Bogut making a gesture toward the grandstands as he left the court. Bogut did not talk to reporters after the game but issued a statement apologizing to fans for his action early Tuesday afternoon. "Our fans have been very supportive of me since I came to Milwaukee and they certainly didn't deserve my reaction coming off the court," Bogut said. "I got caught up in the heat of the moment and let my emotions get the best of me." Bogut also apologized to his teammates, coaches, organization and the league. "My reaction reflected poorly on all of them, which would never be my intent," he said. Bucks general manager Larry Harris said the incident was "out of character" for Bogut. "Our organization does not condone such actions by our players and we apologize for it," Harris said in a statement. "We have been in communication with the league and they are reviewing the incident." League officials have not yet disciplined Bogut for his actions, but there is a precedent for punishment.</div> http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2796889 Bogut made a really bad decision here, and he should pay for it. This is not the type of thing he needs to be doing. I realize that he's frustrated as all hell by the constant losing and the fact that he's totally underutilized by Stotts, but this is no way to act. Bogut has a good deal of maturing still to do.
I would be frustrated if I was a big man playing on that team too. He just doesn't get the ball. Doesn't excuse his actions but it's easy to see why he is frustrated.

<div class="quote_poster">Sir Desmond Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">As an Australian I thought you'd appreciate the work Bogut has done to put Australia back on the basketball map.</div> and what work is that? Australian basketball is just as pathetic as it ever was. He showed his complete and utter lack of respect of claiming himself more successful then any other Aussie NBA basketballer just because he was drafted is a disgrace, as was his fouling out in a pre-season match his rookie year claiming 'I needed a rest anyway'. And now this. His attitude stinks and I just can't stand him.
What a Jackass. Imagine if he'd hit bosh when he was in the air. I woulda loved to see TJ FORd jump on him and knock that dumb piece of shi*t out.
Come on now guys, it's not like the guy is Ron Artest because he lost his cool and gave a shove. I agree that Bogut showed immaturity here and deserves a good amount of criticism for losing his cool in such a way. However, he's a young guy and some frustration is understandable. It's interesting that we've got a few hundred people who will vehemetly defend Kobe no matter what he pulls, but Bogut has one bad incident and he's a 'dumb piece of sh*t'
I didn't think that this would make such a big deal. But I do beleive that there should be some consequence for his actions.
There seems to be a lot of closet hate for Bogut, for some odd reason. I'm actually a fan of his and, even though this was a bonehead move, I don't see why it should be made into that big a deal. He was more frustrated with himself than Bosh and the shove wasn't that dangerous.

ESPN just showed what amount he got fined for, I can't really remember but I think I saw $25,000 on the screen.
Yes you're right. The league fined Bogut $25,000 for what he did. Peanuts for Bogut. That's a little less than his pay for half a game.
