<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Before a comeback victory becomes thrilling, it can be telling. And when the Heat fell behind by double-figures in each of if past two games, coach Pat Riley took note of the reasons for the early struggles and wasn't blinded by the final results. ''I thought the third quarter [Sunday] night [against Washington], I saw the complacency of taking things for granted,'' Riley said. ``We've been playing well, playing hard, and then we thought we could just come out and play and not compete the way we'd been competing.'' The same happened Tuesday against the Jazz before the Heat came back to win with an inspired defensive effort in the fourth quarter. But with the Heat hitting the road for three of its next five games, beginning tonight in New Jersey, Riley knows his team can't afford to relax for one quarter, much less three. Yes, the Heat just completed a six-game home stand undefeated, but the team's recent road history suggests a different challenge is ahead. Since winning four straight away from AmericanAirlines Arena from Jan. 7 to Jan. 13, the Heat has gone 3-9 on the road, including losses to Philadelphia, to the Pacers after leading by 20 points, to New York by 20 and to Cleveland by 24. And Miami's past two games might have provided the reminder it needs of how difficult the road can be. ''I hope they sort of wake up a little bit,'' Riley said. ``[Sunday] night, we came out in the third quarter and we had our worst effort quarter of the year. We just couldn't get out of our own way, and we found a way to win the game. [Tuesday], we were down 16 or 15 and not playing well, and we end up finding a way to win. I'll take it every night if I can get it. If you guarantee me [a win] I'll take it. But we have to get back on a 48-minute game, being sharp, being solid, being focused.''</div> Source
Tonight was another game that got a little scary at the end, but none-the-less, big win for us, thats eight straight wins.
with the spurs losing to milwaukee tonight, we currently have the longest win streak in the league at 8. we're looking really good, even without wade. plus, the remainder of the schedule for march seems pretty easy: sacramento, orlando, atlanta, indiana, philidelphia (sp?), atlanta, toronto, minnesota. we should win the majority of those games, if not all of them. and then in april, with the exception of a fewkey games, we also look like we should win most of 'em: detroit, toronto, cleveland, boston, charlotte, charlotte, washington, indiana, boston, and orlando. obviously detroit, toronto, cleveland, washington will be tough ones, but with the way we look at the moment i'd say we have a good chance to win every remaining game on our schedule. do i think it will happen? no, absolutely not. is it possible? yes, very much so.
