At least, not any championship that matters.

Maybe Webber’s past is tainted with failed championship chances. But right now, he’s playing so well that jokes like that just seem silly.

His 24 points, eight rebounds and six assists propelled the Pistons to their third-straight win on the road Tuesday night. It is clear Webber is getting more and more comfortable letting the offense run through him, finding open teammates some nights and taking advantage of teams that decide to play him one-on-one.

Seattle tried the man-to-man route, which got Webber looking to score. But he said he doesn’t mind the nights where he faces double coverage.

“I love double coverage,” Webber said. “….Because you’re going to pass. Whenever I get doubled I know it’s going to be a fun night.”</div>

We need to win for Webber, and win for Dice. 2 veteran big man who are in their last set of legs. I know we won in '04 but I feel this may be our last shot at a title run for a few years.
