    Absolutely amazing performance.

Get out of here with the shove. Bitterness has no boundaries.

God, absolutely needed this win. I personally think Kobe's going to go on a little tear, he knows the club needs it.</div>

In addition, Kobe pretty much cemented where I rank him this year.

I'd love to see this team with some actual talent around him.

No, actually I'd love to see where this team would be if they stayed healthy.

Time for Kobe to take control the rest of the season. This is what seperates him from the rest of the stars in the NBA.

I swear to god, I just cant watch Kobe play, I'm sorry but I cant, he is just far too ridiculous. I was just watching the highlights from his 65 game today, some of those shots he hit were just insane, getting double teamed on the baseline behind the arc, he just ducks, dodges, leans back, bam! sinks a three. The whole time I was watching that I was like "Oh f*** off!", lol.

    Kobe > Jordan

    Yeah I said it.

Yeah kobe is good... but not YET better than MJ... Who knows? it's still a long way til 40 lol

Kobe has 12 more years for him to rack up accomplishments til everyone can compare him to MJ

Nah, I'm saying it now, Kobe > MJ, just in the way he plays.

Kobe is definatley the closest thing to Jordan, they remind me of each other so much.

I agree. It's actually a terrible indication of the team.

It took 65 points AND an overtime to defeat a lottery-bound TrailBlazers team. Amazing performance by Kobe, but I just think this is a testament of how much help this team needs. If this were a couple of years back I don't even think they would have playoff position.

Man just a day ago the Laker/Kobe fans were giving up on hope. Boycotting, and vowing not to watch anymore, NOW after only 1 win and a great performance from Kobe the "fans" come out of the wood-work sayin "Time for Kobe to take control the rest of the season. This is what seperates him from the rest of the stars in the NBA."...[IMG]
ITS ONE WIN to a sorry team.[IMG]

but even i give Kobe his props for last night although GOD was with him b/c most of those were jacks..

Well Kobe certainly reaches Jordan's level on nights like this. Kobe's "peak moments" are ridiculous.

I agree with authentiq. It was a pretty exciting game and all, but remember, it was the Portland Trailblazers. Hopefully others start stepping up, because if we need Kobe to score 65 points in overtime to beat the Blazers, well, that's not saying much.

Btw, Kobe is God. The guy is simply amazing. I remember when we were down late in the fourth, I was thinking, well, another loss. Kobe goes off and hits 3 three pointers in a row to tie the game up

It ticks me off at times when people say that Lebron or Wade are the best players are in the league. Too many people forget about how great Kobe really can be. He is not on Jordan's level yet, but then again Jordan won his first ring at the age of 30 plus, so Kobe still has a long career ahead of him and he is defiantly the best player in the league. He took a team with no names (besides Odom) and led them to a win off their losing streak. It actually shows how much the team sucks. Kobe out scored his teammates 65-51. [IMG]

It's an absolute embarrassment how Kobe's playing arguably the best basketball of this decade with guys like Smush Parker and Sasha Vujacic as starters

This is sad how the losing streak ended like this. How many times Kobe can score 60+ to win a game?

Wtf are the other lakers doing [IMG]

Just wondering. Does anyone know what happened out there with Odom / Jack and Aldridge? They seemed pretty heated at one point, and had to get separated

You are very quick to take my post and change it to fit your quote. It certainly is time for him to take control for the rest of the season. His performance does seperate him from the rest of the NBA. Who else currently does what Kobe does?

Giving up on my team? Excuse me? If you looked at my post a few days earlier.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting trench:</div><div class="quote_post">Im certainly not giving up on this team. Been with them through thick and thin for over 20 seasons. I think most of our posts are out of frustration. We all know this team can win and beat anyone in the NBA. It frustrates me when you see our Lakers play with no heart.</div>

Please be sure to read through the content before quoting me in one of your posts. Im a die-hard Laker fan and I've never given up on my team. I don't appriciate you coming here telling me otherwise. You took my quote, so your post is obviously pointed in my direction.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> ITS ONE WIN to a sorry team.</div>

A sorry team? We've beaten every elite team this season. This includes the Mavs, Suns, and Spurs. We go on a losing streak and you say we are a sorry team. yes, this win was certainly important to us after losing 7 games in a row. We needed this win terribly. We are still knocking at 6th seed with our current record, so you see, we are still better than NINE other teams in the Western Conference. Are we still sorry? In the Eastern Conference, almost everyone is just above .500 There are just two teams above .600 mark. The Lakers would be in the thick of things come playoffs time if they were a seed on the east as well. Are we still sorry?

Have you forgotten about our injuries??? We've gone through countless injuries. Everyone from Kobe, Odom, Kwame, Mihm, Luke, etc.. Lineups have changed constantly over the course of the season. There was never really a stretch where we had a fully healthy team.

It really makes me burn when people come in here, use my text to say I'm Boycotting my team and giving up on my Lakers and to top it off tell me that my Lakers are a sorry team without looking at all the facts. [IMG]

okay, I feel better now.[IMG] GO LAKERS!!!
