This is what seperates him from the rest of the stars in the NBA."... ITS ONE WIN to a sorry team. but even i give Kobe his props for last night although GOD was with him b/c most of those were jacks..</div>oh god... don't you have anything else better to do?
kobe to chicago in 09. maybe pax can get some better pieces to fit around kobe. And him coming to chicago would only complete his mission to be greater then mike.
Jealous? Stay out of here, plain and simple. You do nothing but bait. Consider this a warning, the next step will be a harsher consequence. Individually, I'd take Kobe over Jordan any day of the week right now. He's simply amazing, but Kobe doesn't have the leadership skills that MJ had. Was MJ harsh? Yeah, but he got the job done. Kobe doesn't have the kind of help to get it done constantly.
where is the bait? i just think kobe will opt out. And when he does he'll come to his idols team. Then he can be exactly like mike

(I believe that's his user name, I'll double check). A number of his/her posts have been deleted. S/he is walking a thin line right now. As for you think Kobe will sign with the Bulls. If he did leave L.A., ever, I think that's a possible landing spot.

Now no one will talk about that for a while, or not nearly as much. I don't think it's ironic Kobe exploded after having to deal with the touchy rulings.

In the timeouts he was sitting alone on the bench with that look in his eye, "I'm not losing this game tonight." It's not so much the Lakers lack talent, but mentally I've never seen this many weak minded athletes on a team. Amazing performance by Kobe Bryant, he brought it all night for the Lakers and made ridiculous shots in the clutch.

I don't understand the energy you spend down playing Kobe's performance last night. As a fan of basketball you respect what he accomplished last night and sit back and soak in what you just witnessed. Tainting what he did is just cheating yourself.

You guys need to realize that you're team isn't going to win every game. They've had a ridiculous amount of injuries this year to key players (Kwame, Odom, Luke) and lets not forget that Mihm is still eating up a chunk of your cap to sit on the bench. You can't expect a patched-up line-up to come in and win every game. Look how succesful you were when healthy. Now you've lost players for large chunks of time and you have to give them time to get 100% and gel. Look at the Nets, they've been injury-riddled all year, but I'm not going to B*tch whenever they lose a game to a bad team or about Kidd and Carter's supporting cast. Its kind of ridiculous watching people complain after every loss and criticize the coaching of the best coach of all time. One game people praise Sasha or Smush or Kwame and the next they tear them down. Kobe has a prety good supporting cast, but they've all been injured or unhealthy all year. That happens sometimes and its nobodys fault so just deal with it.

That wasn't anything horribly awkward or special and many great players in the 80s/90s did it.

However, there's a hardcore fan base, I've been a fan for over 20 years and I always support them. As for Kobe, I agree I don't like fans who place him on a pedestal, but when he plays at a high level last night, why point out what he did wrong and just enjoy it? I really think you should watch Kobe live from the cheap seats just one time, get a bird's eye view of the court, so you can see how advanced his game is to everyone else on the court. He's one of the best at getting to his comfort zones on the floor, and outworks everyone on most nights. Kobe is not a dirty player, he's competitive and he does cross the line at times, but Kobe is more a throwback player and his physical approach stands out now because of the pansy nature the league has become. Just listen to the older players who are now TV analysts, when people ask them how they would do against teams of today, they all say they'd kick their butts, because this era of players is soft. When Kobe Bryant was worked out by the Lakers before they traded for his draft rights, he went one on one with James Worthy. Testing Kobe's resolve, Worthy hit him with an elbow in the chest. The next time Kobe got the ball in the post against Worthy, he gave Worthy an elbow right back. He gained Worthy's respect after the incident, because no rookie the Lakers had worked out before went that far. Some will view at as dirty, but others view it as competitive. Basketball is a physical game, a man's game, and if you can break a player's will by knocking them around and intimidating them then you do it.
