<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (FLORIDA PACKER)</div><div class='quotemain'>Come on I know he was horrible in detroit, but you cannot honestly say he is that much worse than Ferotte or Feidler.</div> I can and I honestly mean it. Gus played in Detroit and hated to see him leave, he's a very good back up and can step in as a starter and win big games. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (FLORIDA PACKER)</div><div class='quotemain'>Fiedler although one of my fav QBs was one of THE most eratic passers ive ever seen, Joey was very erratic as well but to say he coulden't hold either of there jock straps is a little over kill isnt it?</div> Not at all over kill. While I'm not as familiar with Fiedler, he is tough and has earned respect. Harrington is a weak Girlyman who never earned a dime in the NFL, let alone respect. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (FLORIDA PACKER)</div><div class='quotemain'>Now if you were comparing him to someone like Marino or Favre then that anaology would be put to good use.</div> How did HOF QB's get into this conversation? Talk about changing the subject.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (FLORIDA PACKER)</div><div class='quotemain'>lol But Joey can play the piano so there!</div> You got me there! He's a regular Liberace! LMAO! Just add the Dolphin helmet and you've got the Princess!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Bears#1Fan)</div><div class='quotemain'>Feidler won games... may not have been pretty.. but he won.. Harrington is mediocre i think he has the skills to be a good not great QB in the league.. and anyone is just mediocre when u put on a lions uniform</div> Feidler won games? I must have blinked. Could you try and name a couple of games that he won? Feidler was lucky to be on a team with a good defense and running game. With Feidler playing QB, most of the time I was praying that he wouldn't throw the late interception that would cost us the game. We are talking about a QB that has 11 years of NFL experience, but has only thrown 69 tds (vs 66 int) and 11,844 yards. Feidler sucks and he should apologize to Chris Chambers and Randy McMichael for wasting several years of their careers.
that redskins game from a couple of years ago comes to my mind, when greise was plled and the dolphins were like 3 tds down, fiedler brought them back if i remember correctly
Lets be totally honest here; Gus, Jay, & Joey are journeymen QB at best. They are IMO in the same class as Jaime Martin.

Someone forget about the Culpepper for gosh Ryan Cook Trade.... I know all the Viking fans haven't. That could end up pushing the Walker trade they made. Geesh...
The weird thing about this thread is that before Ben, we were going through the same torment in Pittsburgh. We had Bubby Brister, Neil O'Donnell, Mike Tomczak, Kordell Stewart, Jim Miller, and Tommy Maddox over the course of the last 20 seasons. Not a whole ton of talent there. With a good to great defense, and a good to great running game almost every year, you can only imagine how frustrating that is to not have a winning QB. Culpepper should be a good fit and if he's not, Miami needs to get someone top 10 quality in there. They will go deep into the playoffs if they can get their QB situation stablized with some quality.

Seeing the Ravens w/ Dilfer at the helm raise the Lombardi trophy was both encouraging & frustrating. I don't know that all the pieces were in place three to four years ago, I do know that the 'phins were missing a head coach with plan and a clue. Though, if I recall, the Steelers did make the Super Bowl w/ O'Donnell at the helm. Saban is using alot of Linehan's offense and I see no reason why Daunte can't succeed. DC IMO would not have succeeded in the WCO that Childress is installing.
O'Donnell did get to the SuperBowl and got a huge contract with the Jets the following year. But he was a glorified Dilfer. And he threw two big passes to Larry Brown to give SuperBowl XXX away. I think the Dolphins rise to 10-6 or 11-5 this year and the AFC Championship game is in Pittsburgh vs. Miami.

I was thinking that we'll get a little preview on Thursday kicking off the season. it will be the first & last game played between two AFC teams of the 2006 season.
Good thing to be a Packer Fan. Most have forgotten what the "Magic Man" was like. Haven't seen a QB other than Favre since him start a game. I have a hunch though this is Brett's last year and Green Bay heads down the path of journeyman QB's for a while. I'm not solid on Rodgers.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pack Attack)</div><div class='quotemain'>Rodgers will be fine. Have some faith...</div> Every time I see Rodgers, I see flashes of Kyle Boller. That worries me. Also he hasn't been playing that well at mini camps either from what I've been reading. What I do like is his attitude. He spent all off season in Green Bay working out and working with the new coaches. I hope he comes through. He def has the heart to.
