The Sonics could drop the hammer on anyone in the league.

Honestly, this league is probably at it's highest caliber of competition in many years. EVERY team in the league could knock you out in a moment's notice. Memphis, Charlotte, Boston -- even the worst in the league can be the best on any given night.

Ray Allen can light you up for 50 and not even break a sweat. Now that Lewis and Ridenour are back, with Collison, that Seattle team is going to be a tall drink of water the rest of the season.

But the Warriors didn't get lucky. They hung in there and battled and pulled it out. Two good performances in one VERY good game. Go Warriors!

    wow, keep it up W's

Didn't see the game cuz I was out drinking, but I saw the highlights. Wow, that's why Jrich and Baron Davis are stars. Jrich has excellent body control and finishing ability and Davis is just an excellent dribbler and gutsy but good decision maker. And most importantly, they hit their free throws. Because if they both shot last year's 60-70% we'd have lost this game for sure.

The highlights really didn't show much about how the game went -- you really had to watch it to get a good sense of how the team hung in after blowing the lead and kept bouncing back. It was one of their best road wins I can remember.

That all depends on how we do in the playoffs. If we beat Dallas and lose to the Suns or something who knows. Maybe all the improvement this club will need is to just mature and get better. Our team is so young in general that we could go on a long run like Dallas has for the last 7-8 years. Remember when they started? Now look at them. I think the improvement of Monta Ellis and Beans are key. If those 2 can become All Stars we will be set for a long time. It will just be a matter of tweeking around them. The good news is that the Warriors have been effective with their late round picks so if we are not going to be in the lottery, talent evaluation is going to count big time. So if we can pick quality players in the 20-30 range it will only help our team. Look at Josh Howard.

Wow, didn't get to see the game last night but I saw the highlights. Impressive win, it might have been ugly but its good for the team to learn how to pull out wins on the road, especially against teams that they should/can beat. Baron is just great, I'd be sad to see him go this offseason because he means so much to the team despite being made of glass. Hes clutch as hell, underrated in the clutch IMO. Normally you'd give Baron about a 15-25% chance to hit those crazy 18 foot fading jumpshots but he hits nearly all of those crazy 18 footers in the clutch, many of which are fading away from the baseline. Hes been a great playoff performer as well, he just steps up and wants to take the last shot and right now thats huge for our team.

Once again good defense (SEA shot 41% from the field), staying with them on the boards, and winning the TO battle along with some big shots late got us a win. Hopefully we just keep gaining momentum, the next 2 weeks are really tough. We play @ Utah, vs. Washington, then a back to back @ LAL followed by vs. SA then vs. Phoenix a few days later.

I am really excited about the Utah game because it is a road game and they are a good team that is reeling right now after losing 4 straight against some not so good teams. If we win that game it will be 4 in a row for our team (the most since Nov). Then we get to beat up on Washington for hiding behind the refs for a win. The Lakers have been playing good ball lately with Odom back, so hopefully we can hold them off. San Antonio and Pheonix will be a good litmus test for our team. I dont want to play either of them with a big 5-6 game win streak because there will be a lot of pressure, but we can beat those teams if we are playing our kind of ball. Pheonix worries me more than San Antonio though. If we win every one of those games we will be at .500 again![IMG]

Utah will be really tough. They did lose their last 4 but those games were all on the road on a 4-games-in-5-days stretch. Both teams have 2 days off before the game to recover physically, for us, and mentally, for Utah. Unfortunately we're playing in Utah where the Jazz are 25-7 but I still think we have a decent shot with our momentum and the Jazz being on their first game at home from the road trip. I think the key will be how we deal with Deron Williams and Boozer.

If we can pressure the hell out of Williams with Baron/Monta along with Jackson, Pietrus, Barnes, JR, Al reaching in and bothering him and get him to turn the ball over and fuel our fastbreak we have a great chance of winning. Their next best ball handler is Rotten Fish so overwhelming Deron Williams will be key. With Boozer we just have to keep doubling like we did with KG, Brand, etc. If that keeps him from going off against us then we'll also have a good shot of winning. Rebounds will be key as well, we have to do a good job on the defensive glass and keep Boozer, Okur, Harpring, Kirilenko, etc. off the offensive boards. Ultimately this will be a game of who controls the tempo; if we secure rebounds and force turnovers leading to fastbreaks we'll have a good shot of winning.
