    Pistons (42-22) vs Mavs (53-11)
    3:30 ABC at the Palace

Were hosting the NBA's best, and a possible NBA Finals Preview. Chaunceys out for the groin injury which is too bad. If we win what a statement that would make to the rest of the league that are team is for real and were serious about contending for the title.

COME ON PISTONS FANS WE GOTTA WAKE UP!

Dirk's playing like a piece of crap as usual. He needs to step up somewhat in the second half for the Mavs to win this one.

First game thread in a while.

According to NBA.com the Mavs are up by 1.

Mavs got the win on us today 92-88. I'm disapointed, this was a huge statement game and now we just put a welcome mat on our front porch to 1st place for Cleveland. I'm happy to see Flip Murray playing good ball. Looks like were going to have a nice backup point guard in the playoffs.

Well considering Chauncey was out for the game, and we did come close, I wasn't really that disappointed.

BTW, What's up with Hamilton? He's putting up low numbers now a days.

I've been really happy with Flip Murray these last 2 games, it seems as though he wants to stay apart of the team beyond this season, so hopefully we can keep im on board. I think he is falling back on the fact of Chauncey Billups possibly leaving, because he would be promoted to the starting line up that way, unless we drafted Acie Law or somthing.

These last two games, against the two top teams in the league, Ron Murray has been the Pistons best player. And the bad part about it is that when Chauncey and Lindsey Hunter return Flip will most likely be out of the rotation.

He has done this his entire career. Step in for a star, put up similar numbers in their absence (w/ a similar winning %) and when the star returns he is relegated to being playing limited (if any) minutes.

Flip doesn't play well off of the bench because he isn't a bench player. He could do what he has done for an 82 game season if he was given the minutes. It is just too bad that he has had to compete with All-Star guards his entire career. Probably the only thing that has kept him from being one himself.

I can't help but laugh at this statement.
