I love how our game threads look like a game play-by-play, but with a little extra something something with our commentary, cheers, disappointments, and whatnot. Makes it fun dontcha think? You'd think we were all watching it together at a bar or something. I think that's cool.

Well, we started out the game strong, but the Wolves ended the quarter with a 10-0 run. We're still up by 7 I believe, so let's see if we can hang on

Kobes already hot, the T-wolves are not. You might as well put the "W" next to LA.

Weak night of posting. It's a great game for our confidence and will give us motivation. This could be the turn round we've been waiting for. Kobe with 38 pts, starting to see the kobe of old, smush doing great, odom distributing the ball.

Great win, Kobe is spider-man out there. Time slows down when he shoots.

Kobe is now the leading scorer after dropping 50, and is averaging 30 points a game.

Thats 2 in a row.[IMG] Kobe with 50 points. Thats back to back 50+ games. Smush had a good night, with the rest of the team. But, we should have won by 20+ though. [IMG]

Wow. Kobe is just amazing. I'm glad we came out with a victory. I was pretty scared at one point of time. 2 wins in a row. Let's see if we can continue this streak

Heck of a game by Kobe, even from just what I saw, which was the last 18 minutes or so. Kobe was just ridiculous, and I think the trey at the end of the 3rd summed up his shooting night. Not many people in the league could have hit it from that distance with that kind of pressure while fading away. Kobe was just flat out brilliant. And beyond that, he came through in the stretch, knocking down some big FTs near the end of the quarter. My only issue was the near collapse we had in the 4th. We SHOULD have won this game by 20+, it shouldn't have been as close as it was. We just let them keep chipping away though, which is what really worries me about us. We aren't great at closing games right now, and more often then not Kobe has to bail us out in the end. I'm hoping we can fix this issue come playoff time, that way we if we have a big lead, we don't blow it like we did tonight.

And on another note, but is it just me, or does it seem like Luke Walton should be right behind Kobe in terms of importance to this team. The offense looked much smoother with him in there. I'm thinking that as long as we can keep a healthy team together, we could make a solid playoff run. But, as I stated, we need to learn how to close out games, because come playoff time, 4th quarter collapses won't cut it, not against the likes of Phoenix and Dallas, who WILL take advantage of your every miscue.

The main reason with other teams making that 4th quarter comeback is because of the fact that Phil sits Kobe in those minutes and lets the backups do whatever they can. I think we should start the 4th with Kobe and keep the lead up for awhile then insert the reserves in there when we know there is no coming back.

    my two cents.

Is anybody else kinda wondering why on a night when Kobe drops 50, Lamar and Smush both come dangerously close to triple doubles and Luke throws in a solid 10 & 11, we only beat a play-off hopeful by 5 points?

I just don't understand how that can happen. Kobe did his thing, our three main role players stepped up big. We win by 5. Someone explain this to me.

Not really, 3 of their key players had huge nights.
