I got a phone call earlier today, from this guy that works at the store where I preordered my PS3 from, telling me I can come pick it up on Friday Which is great, although I'm in a bit of a pickle I currentley have $4,200 in my account, the PS3 is $999, so I can afford it easily, however I also need $2000 for braces (which I start on the 29th), although that doesnt have to be paid off all at once ($150 or so each visit), and I need to keep in mind I need to save some money aside for School fees, since I am planning on doing a course soon. Plus my clubbing habits, and other random bills, and you can see my problem. For reference, I make around $200 - $300 working part time, depending on my hours, so not much at all So what do I do? Do I buy the PS3 on Friday? or do I wait a while before buying it? The reason I want to buy it now, is that I have put $50 towards it already, which I dont think is refundable, plus I get a free controller and game of my choice since I preordered it, so if I buy it at a later stage, these things go begging, and I'll end up forking out money for them.
I say take care of your needs first and than when you think your financially stabled, then I'd start looking for a PS3. I mean its entertainment, you should care for yourself and your needs before you can buy the PS3.
I wouldn't buy a PS3 right now man. I mean you seem to have a busy life so it isn't really needed at the moment, is it? Anyway it is up to you, but if you're to pick up that PS3 you'd have to slow down on your partying because school is more important then anything if you want to get anywhere in life.
Well they can keep it on hold for 2 weeks the guy said, so I might wait and think it over a bit more. I mean I can live with not going out for a few weeks, I think I've done it too much recentley anyway, and its sort of lost its 'spark' (last Friday night was an experience to say the least, lol), so 3 weeks of solid paychecks should be enough to at least cover $700 of the potential $999, I dunno, some more opinions would be nice. Everywhere I go I'm slammed with "LIEK OMGZ!!11! PS3 CUMMING MARCH 23!!!11!" banners and advertising, so it doesnt help, lol.
Oh no! I just added this girl to my MSN (I got her email from a Club message board), I've been talking to her for like the last 20 minutes, I sent her my pic like after 5 minutes of talking to her, now she is telling me to come out this weekend, and shes hot too! Shes telling me how crazy she is and stuff, bah! I feel like a mouse, being played around with by a couple of Cats, the Cats being the PS3, and my Lifestyle.
I say take care of your braces and other needs first. If you really want the PS3 then go for it, but try to cut down on other expenses; like if you eat out alot try to eat at home more often, and cut down on shopping and what not.
dude, just buy a 360. Xbox rules and has much better games. You got Gears of War, Virtua Tennis 3, Guitar hero 2, Halo 3, all the sports....and its much cheaper.
I would say pay the installments on the braces. Your paychecks would seem to cover them. Also ask for more hours to work.

I just thought of somthing, I have a spare bank account with nothing in it, so what I'm thinking is, I'll hold out on the PS3 for now, and just start putting money towards one into this account each week or whatever, until I have saved enough.
