    ....Damn, I hate it.

I have a test tommorow of which I didn't even know until today in class (remember we just got off a one week spring break here in Canada), and I have a presentation tommorow morning as well that I haven't had time to prepare for cause I've been studying most of today. If that's not all, I just remembered sometime tonight that I have a little miniquiz tommorow in my class that follows the class in which I have a test, and I need to study for the quiz cause my mark is already low in the class. This sucks ass.

I'm planning to sleep right now (11:10) and wake up at around 2 - 2:30 and study until 7 or so. I think that should be enough time to cover everything. Yes, I realize I'm wasting more time by being on JBB; hence the thread title [IMG]

Anyways, I'm sure a lot of you are procrastinators (many senior high school students and University students are in general). I've been trying to stop this habit for some time now (as well as sleeping late), and it hasn't really worked out. I'm quite sure I'm going to be exhausted within the first month of Uni next year.

Speaking of which, if any one cares (cause I used to make the University threads before), I got early acceptances to like 5 of the 7 Unis I applied to. Only problem is my marks are starting off pretty low (I mean like 20% lower than my initial average) this semester.

Haha, procrastination, I'm the king of that. I did it all throughout high school and have continued it in college. I never do anything until the night before typically. If I have a paper due, it doesn't get done til the night before. Hell, half the time I don't even research my topic til the night before either. It's the same way with speeches. I've always procrastinated on getting work done and I don't see it stopping. My thought is that as long as it gets done and done well (as far as speeches and papers go, I've never gotten lower than a B on any), I'll procrastinate all I want.

Holy crap, I know how you feel. I'm procrastinating on a 10 page religion essay that's due on Wednesday. The thing is, I can sit in front of the computer with a blank Word document for like an hour and accomplish absolutely nothing. Some courses its worse than others, though.

    I have 3 tests this week..and I only studied for 1 of them(kinda)..

Well really it's not so much me putting it off..it's just it's been hard to get any significant amount of studying in cause of workin' till closing all the time and I'm too tired to do it when I get home...ugh this is rough.

I also procrastinate. The good thing is, when I actually decide to do my work the night before I get really into it and I won't stop at anything til' its done. When I'm actually engaged in doing the assignment I just get phased out of everything else and I can work like 8 hours straight if I needed to.

Usually when I procrastinate I turn in some of my best work.

    I thrive in crunch time.

lmao, I was the same. Did all my assignments the night before, did all my best work in those times too.

Doing it like 2 weeks before its due just wasnt inspiring enough for me.

Well, don't try to procrastinate for Math/Chem class at least. You need a lot of time to study all the obnoxious small details.

I finished college last week at the peak of my procrastination powers. I took less than ten pages of notes in two quarters, three classes each quarter. Several times, I pulled all-nighters with assignments that would have taken less than half an hour to complete had I concentrated on them. I didn't listen in class unless I was in danger of being called on. I didn't study until I had tests or assignments. Made the Dean's List (3.5 or over) both quarters.

If you really want to stop procrastinating, the best thing to do is find a place you can go with no distractions. It was impossible for me to get anything done in my school apartment because the only chair in my room was in front of the computer. About a month ago I took a one-week internet sabbatical (just because) and guess what? I did all my work early in the afternoon. If I ever really needed to buckle down and study otherwise, I'd go to the library. If there's really nothing else to do, you'll be more likely to study.

Procrastination is all about knowing your limits. Everybody can get away with a certain amount and succeed. Plus, it makes school a lot more exciting.

...or really stressing and overwhelming. Actually, sometimes it feels great when you procrastinate yet pull a 90 on the assignment. Makes everything worth it.

Well I just remembered that I have an American History assignment due in my college class tomorrow, and it's 11:30pm, so I thought I'd come and distract myself more by posting on JBB. [IMG]

I guess for me, there's no motivation to do it until the last second. It's the last minute when I realize "Sh**, I should do this so I can pass High School."
