Larry Brown could very well be the coach of the Sixers next season. Brown could also be running basketball operations next season.

That means if Brown desires, he could have coach Maurice Cheeks' or King's job. Brown could simply choose to stay on as the team's executive vice president and answer to King or leave to join Michael Jordan and Bob Johnson in Charlotte for cheaper, less posh amenities. And there isn't a thing King can do about it.

So basically, if Larry Brown wants to be GM, he will be GM. If Larry Brown wants to be head coach, he will be head coach. I don't know what to think of this. I'm not really going to go in detail about coaching, but I hope he doesn't replace Mo Cheeks. As for being a GM? He'd probably be a better GM than Billy King, but by how much? I'm worried the guy will package our young, future talent for some veteran that plays the right way.

I think everyone including Larry Brown realizes that this team is built for the future. I highly doubt he would trade away our your talent for veterans. Besides, our young players will be very good veterans within the next couple years. I just don't know about larry though. He could turn this young team into a tough defensive minded squad, or he could frustrate our young guys and stunt their growth. Its hard to tell.

This is the oppurtunity he should've been given in New York. Now Brown actually has show that he was worth all the problems he caused with the Pistons and Knicks. I hope he gets the job.
