There's a difference between being a realistic fan and being a nit-picking cynic. There's always going to be a bit of a luck involved when signing a player on the team. There's always going to be the risk factor of them going down to injury or not playing up to par, but that's the way the NBA is and I think Colangelo knew this but he knew that it was better than leaving the team that it currently was, unlike a manager like Babcock who seemed scared shitless to make a move that he might be scrutinized for. Give credit to Colangelo to quickly fix up the team by searching for Euro talent, which isn't very common in the NBA. Personally, I just think you haven't come to grips with reality that the Raptors are finally winning for once after years of medciocrity and losing.

Yeah, but considering how he handelled trading Marshall, Carter and Araujo (he wanted a non-risk player that was able to contribute right away, which completely backfired), I'd say that taking bold steps to improve the team wasn't really his forte.
