Somebody on another message board, who claims to work at Mercy Hospital, said hes dead of massive head trauma....John Clayton is reporting that early indications are that the injurys are not life threatening....I guess we wait for details....

Headline News states that, "He wasn't wearing a helmet, flipped over his bikes handle bars, & was disoriented."

What seems to be confirmed is that he wasnt wearing a helmet, he flipped over the handlebars, he struck a car, and was disoriented when taken from the scene....

He's Big Ben, he can't be killed. Maybe this accident will make him forget how to be a quarterback, lol.

Well, apparently this is serious. On the radio they said that Ben is in serious condition.

I, too, saw a photo of the car. Ben is/was lucky if all he suffered was a broken jaw as reported on MSNBC earlier.

I wish him the best of luck... He is such a Great young talent but if he recovers from this he might want to think about wearing the damn helmet

I hope he recovers but he should have definetely been wearing a helmet. When I first heard this I thought Kellen Winslow right away.

I dunno.. He's suffered severe damage to his knees.. and that's part of his game. So even if he makes it back this year, which is up in the air right now, I don't ever see him being the player he was or ever see him becoming the player he could've become especially if the damage to his knees are as severe as the reports indicate.

All I heard was that he suffered a broken jaw and nose, a couple of teeth are gone and something about his head or something. Something happened to his knees when he fell onto the ground. I hope that none of this will affect his mobility or anything with his quarterbacking. Such an eye-opener for things to happen like this especially after seeing another AFC North player get hurt by motorcycles.

Its not the motorcycle, its the rider. Kinda like its not the pen misspelling words, its the person using the pen that is misspelling words. I'm sure that Ben feels like a God after all of his accomplishments but that shouldn't be a reason to risk your life doing something that has very little, if any reward. What a shame.

What bothers me about him riding a motorcycle is that it's an uneccesary risk. He's worth millions healthy and accidents happen all the time. Why throw away your career because you can't keep your ego in check.

I just hope if he fully recovers, which I expect that he will, that he grows up and takes some repsonsibility. Protect yourself Ben. I hate to admit that Bradshaw was right when he ripped him and said "Ride your motorcycle after you retire."

Only mistake made by Big Ben was he didn't wear a helmet. The driver that hit him was from out of town and didn't know what was going on in the traffic hour. So Roelisberger would've been hit even if he was in a car. He probably wouldn't of sustainted these kinda injuries though.
